You're the only one who has it right on this thread. The others all want to get money out of the government. Sounds like good Democrap material to me. Its true, the MM men wanted to get paid a hell of a lot more than Army or Navy pay, thats why they joined the MM. And they didn't have to dig any trenches or foxholes, or fire their rifles. They made a choice back then, and if they had saved and invested their big pay checks back then, they should all be rich now.

I know some people are saying " IT WOULD COST TO MUCH " OK so what they pay millions of dollars for these jerks to sit on death row for years.These guys was just kids and most of them couldn't get into the other service's.Some such as my husband besides of age also is blind in one eye.He joined because his brother was a POW of the Germans.His older brother was also in the army.He wanted to do something for his county.As was most of the others wanting to do for the USA.Thats more than I can say about alot of kids now days.Thank god for those who are going into the service.People cry about the big bucks they made but look at the price they paid.Now alot of those that are still here just live day to day.How much easier it would have been if they had gotten help with schooling,buying a house,starting a business etc.The work they did was VERY important to each and everyone of us.AS is with all servicemen and women.Thank you and please write your Reps and Senators to pass this bill.

It never costs too much to say a thank you to those we ask to make the greatest sacrifice. If some shortsighted are worried about money they can rally to have cut a half dozen stupid programs instead. We should NEVER, EVER cut benefit programs for Vets!

You got that right.Maybe they did make money my husband was gone for one year and four days on his first trip paid off at alittle over $6000.00.Yes he bought a house.That he later had to sell for medical bills.He spend part of that year in New Guinea turned 16 over there.How many more years do these MM vets have left?Please give them a thank you by giving writing congress and getting these vets a few dollars to make the few years they have left abit nicer.Thank you

His dream was that the MM would get benfits for their valuable service they gave to this country.True the MM didnt have to dig foxholes.But who the heck could dig them on those Hot Hot decks or while on a life raft?No they didnt have to fire rifles but had to fire twin 20s etc.Where in the heck you going to hid when Kamikazes are coming at you.Come on people get behind these guys and help them get the thank you that is long over due.Thank you

I wrote earlier that my husband paid off his first ship with a little over $6,000.00 but that inclued his winngs from grambling.He sure didnt make that much from his MM pay.Just want you know that just one of the people I sent the bill to in turn has send it to over 50 people and some written back saying they support it and also are forwarding it on to others.This has been just since last night.SO WE WILL GET IT DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!Enjoy your Post Toasties
