Poor journalism all around- Bush and Wead tapes never mentioned "coke". The left simply will NOT let this unfactually supported rumor go, having made it a legend.

However this entire article could have been written in the late 1990's about William Jefferson Clinton following little brother Roger Clinton's cocaine bust- where he told an undercover agent that Big Brother Bill had a "nose like a vacuum cleaner"

Here is the dilemma. Coke CAN kill you, but it DOES not kill most of it's users. At least two of its users became president of the US, while some poor sap can't be a federal judge if he used mj in college. Also we have people in federal prison who are under the authority of the president, for cocaine possession of as little as an ounce. Some for 10 years, with no parole.

So we can either pretend our boy is clean or we can acknowledge the hypocracy of this situation and insist on some consistent adherence to basic principles of fairness and justice, especially when imprisoning people.

All this thread does is call the messenger a scumbag. It does nothing to address the issues presented by our current and previous drug using presidents.

What good are we doing then if we don't change bad behavior into more positive behavior? We are exacting our pound of flesh. Then we let an unrepentant criminal out so that he can perpetrate more crimes, maybe even worse crimes, and the cycle starts again.

Next day, he pulls over a DUI suspect, and rips him up one side and down the other.

Conason spent the eight years getting drunk on Clinton's control of the White House, and we know it.
