Here's hoping the defense team can pull a rabbit out of their hat.
Yes, I said the defense team. Is there a more appropriate term? I don't think so.
You got me. Like I said, it's astounding. This judge (who is the one who hears the vast majority of all proceedings in this case) makes rulings that seem to fly in the face of both common sense and human decency.
As for the stay - because of his behavior in the past and the guaranteed media circus that will ensue following the removal of the tube, I can't help but suspect that this 48-hour stay is nothing but self-serving on his part. Less attention over the weekend, less likely for there to be any emergency proceedings by the FL legislature or executive branch, better chance that he can get out of Dodge before the tube is removed, hide out at home for a couple days maybe? I know I would if I were him.
But really, when it comes right down to it, who knows. I gave up trying to understand this judge's reasoning long ago - it't truly baffling. Maybe it's finally the start of a miracle. Surely this case is long overdue for one.
Was his Hino-ness there?
Between the coma vegetable folks, and the anti-abortion crowd, this place is starting to really suck.
>>If she were on death row she would have more rights and a better chance at life. This is screwed up.<<
I was just thinking that. Why is it that the Libs will fight for the life of convicted felons and murderers on death row, but they have no mercy for the unborn or the disabled?
Defies logic.
We have to MAKE SURE that they are set straight TA!! The Governor has a very specific and actually easy way to solve this problem. He simply takes control of her protection under the Department of Children and Families which also INCLUDES the disabled!! HOW can they keep saying that???
>>It's simple Michael wants Terri dead.........Makes you wonder why don't it<<
$$$$$$$, that's why.
Neat question, Ted. I would avoid that place at all costs. Anyone ever check the mortality rate in that place?--as compared to other hospitals?
One Day at a Tiiiiiime

Because Terri HERSELF can't file for divorce and it's her evil husband who presently makes ALL of her decisions. He absolutely REFUSES to divorce her for obvious reasons. He wants to be a widower and collect, collect, collect as well as he has stated that THERE WILL BE NO AUTOPSY and she will be CREMATED as soon as she passes away. There would go the EVIDENCE of his criminal act. This is NOT a nice man. He's a demon infested beast!!
The law that is being used to kill Terri wasn't enacted until years after her injury. But somehow it's okay to apply it to her. How does that work?
#172 - LOL!!
"I am astonished that Governor Bush wouldn't take custody of this girl and bring her under his protection AS THE LAW ALLOWS HIM TO DO IMMEDIATELY!!"
Well, by his statements it appears he doesn't see it that way. Check www.wnd.com and read his comments to see what I mean.
Again, Terri's impending death is "civil" and is in George W. Greer's "civil" court, not in any criminal court. There are "civil" and "electrical" engineering, and "civil" and "criminal" courts.
yes, he works? at a hospital. Puts people to sleep, I believe....I am not kidding.
Wow! Where did you hear this?
I most often stay on AMERICA THE RIGHT WAY thread here on FR and have asked that those on that thread start some serious praying for her. I am a retired police officer and have seen my share of death in my lifetime but this has really gotten me upset to see what they are doing to this young lady. I am also a Christian and believe in prayer.
"Well, Michael R. Schiavo, a popular Clearwater nurse, objects."
I'm sorry, I know this has probably been answered many times, but I don't understand since the parents have said they want to take her home, and take care of her why the husband objects. Seems that gets him off the hook, and everyone is satisfied (well obviously MS isn't----but has he said why?)
I just thought of a tagline: "Terri has already outlived Eleanor Centzone." Remember, she was the mistress's mother who tormented the Schindlers between October 15-21, 2003, at the "hospice."
Plain as the nose on anyone's face that Greer agrees with Michael and his attorney, Felos, that Terri should die.
He knows that if the Guardianship laws are enforced, Terri would have a chance because Micheal would be out of the picture and an independent, unbiased Guardian would look out for Terri's interests. So he delays the Guardianship issue, which Michael has totally violated, and hopes to run out the clock on these appealable issues that Terri's family is pursuing. Then, Terri is killed.
End of story, Greer THINKS, but he is wrong. Even if she is killed, none of us are gonna drop this until we get to the bottom of what has been going on. Something is rotten in Denmark.
She has been forced to stay at Hospice for five years, when at no time was she dying. And Medicaid paid for it at least part of that time. Then, she has been abused by lack of proper care on Michael's orders, and in 04 was denied food and water for 6 days until she nearly died, before the Legislature and the Governor stepped it. All that stuff is against federal rules that would apply to her stay at Hospice uder Medicaid, and should be investigated.
Michael is possibly to blame for her original condition, as famed pathologist Dr. Michael Baden saw her bone scans, which had been hidden for many years, awhile ago and said on Greta Van Sustern's show that Terri had suffered a violent attack of some kind that should have been investigated back when she got this way. Many think Michael wants her dead because she knows that HE did his to her. If she is rehabilitated to where she can communicate, that he would be in trouble.
As for Greer, there is none so blind as he who will not see. He is apparently friendly with Felos, Michael's attorney, who is a big Euthanasia advocate. And the Hospice industry in FL is real big with some Euthanasia advocates in that they have financial interests in the Hospices there.
And Greer seems to dislike women. That is noted by those there who are close to the situation...I can't speak to it myself. If this were an estranged wife trying to do this to her husband, many think Greer would see things differently.
And did you know Greer is legally blind? Guess he can see a little, but poorly. He has never seen videos of Terri, nor seen her in person, nor have any interest in doing so.
