"All this over cookies," Renea Young said.
(What incredible hypocrisy!)
She is so devastated, she said, that she hasn't been back to her part-time job as a Wal-Mart cashier.
(must be tough work, being a part-timer at Walmart)
"Our home is like a funeral parlor," Renea Young said. "They've robbed us of our laughter. My spirit, my soul, is damaged."
She was coached to say this by a trial lawyer. Normal people, even obtuse liberals, never talk this way spontaneously.
They have been fixing to sue for damages way beyond "medical" expenses, (The reason they wouldn't sign the waiver) but the national ridicule has given their shyster pause.
Nevertheless, they have a year to file, and I would bet a decent sum that they will sue once the publicity dies down. They will file and they will settle with the parents' insurance companies and everyone of us who has personal liability insurance will pay a little bit to these oddballs.
This is probably the dumbest case I've ever read about. The woman who sued the girls sounds like a nutjob and she's not getting any better over time.
