Sean says this for ratings, I'm convinced.
I just quit listening to Hannity. He's been taken over by a "go-along-to-get-along" personality.
Not my cup of tea...
I heard it. What the hell are you doing, Sean?
I quit listening to Hannity, the show is too much about him, and he can't pull it off like Rush. Just e-mailed him and told him he is sounding more and more like O'Reilly.
I have never worn fringe, not even in west.

As long as he didn't say "drunken Irish fringe" I'm fine with it. |
ping......... to a Hannity mis-speak.
Actually Hannity probably gave FR more attention by doing this than if he would have praised it.... so maybe it's not a bad thing.
Heck, competition is never a bad thing! If he wants his site to compete with FR, let's do it!
Charlie Rangle is on Hannity now and he is clearly a horse's ass. Hannity says he's not a racist. IMHO, that's BS.
I don't agree with everyone here either, but that's what makes horse racing.
Is that empty suit hawking his book again today?
You could do a lot worse...
And can he effectively imitate the freeper classics like Jim Rob, Doug from Upland, Johnny Chung and that FREEPER grrl whose name I forget that can post 1000 posts with graphics and links on Bill and Hill faster than you can say: "Holy FREEPERS, Batman!"?
Besides, can he lay claim to what makes FR so enjoyable: You FREEPERS?
I DON'T THINK SO!!!!
Sean says we've been taken over the fringe people. Meanwhile, the fringe people say we've been taken over by the GOP.
Which would seem to indicate we're in just about the right zone, where we can pi** off both groups.
He said that FReepers started eating their own, and if I were in his shoes, with all that's been said about him on this site, I'd say the same thing. I've never been able to understand all the negative and snide comments on FR about Hannity except for this: he's good-looking and successful in his career and home life, and it seems to me that many people on FR are showing an ugly jealousness that is only detrimental to the purposes of FR.
I personally thank God for a conservative talk show host that seems to live what he talks. I really like Rush, and there's none like him, but I really really wish his personal life would reflect more of the conservative values that he espouses on the air. Sean's does, from what little I know, and I really appreciate him for that and for his commitment to conservative values in general. His goals are the same as FR's, and I see no reason to be so critical of him because of such minor things as advertising his book. The reasons many FReepers give for disliking him are very petty, actually, and it dismays me to no end, since I really like FR. I don't particpate much, but I lurk a lot, and am thankful to Jim Robinson for all his hard work in providing such a resource.
The comments about Rush using FR are not conjectural. I'm a 24/7 member and often have his webcam (which is excellent, by the way) up on my screen when he's broadcasting and I'm at my desk.
Very often, you can CLEARLY see that Rush's browser is pointed at FR. That, and Drudge, and Google News, and a few other recognizable sites. My conclusion: like me, Rush finds FR to be a marvelous site for information and insight.
Hannity does have a minor point that we do have some out-there posters. Often they're quite entertaining, and I view many of them as wonderful and invaluable facets of Freepdom-- Quidam being my all-time favorite. But they do not dominate, and IMHO they are less prevalent than they were years ago. If that was Hannity's comment (and I didn't hear it myself so am reserving judgment), then he's very wrong.
