Threads like this really make me appreciate Tony Snow :o)
What exactly did TLBshow do to get the zot? He disappeared soon after I came in, so I must have missed the, er, show. :P
you're saying that he's just promoting his forum at our expense?
I haven't heard or watched Hannity's shows in several years. He was a bulldog in the days of Clinton. His presentations and form(what ever that means) were great. He was one of the few we could count on in the days of Clinton.
His remark about FR is a little thin skinned.
It's a shame he doesn't understand what makes FreeRepublic so great...but, I won't make the same type of mistake and rationalize away all that Shawn has done well.
listen to the clip. It's a real gem!
Ask Howlin!
"...he would be NOWHERE if they changed his time slot!"
Reminds me of Seinfeld when Kenny Banya (sp?) was getting Jerry's laughs when he followed him at the comedy club!
I get the sense Sean thinks he doesn't need FReepers anymore. Sink or swim time for Sean.
I hope he puts up a poll to show our outrage, though!
Not only is it a gem, it's a keeper. LOL It'll be a classic once Sean Hannity's show goes into oblivion. LMFAO!

1. I rarely listen to Hannity at all anymore. He isn't what he was a few years ago. I haven't really put the question to the horses as some apparently have, though. I'll have to watch the horses a little closer next time. No, for those who seriously think it, I don't go to horses for personal advice.
2. Calling other people extremists won't stop your opposition from calling you an extremist. I think that's what he's trying to do.
3. I frequently used to have to shut off Hannity. I can't recall ever having to do this with Rush.
4. Hannity puts too many whack-jobs on his shows. I don't turn on the radio to hear the same nutjobs I could see on the TV 24/7. I don't like that barfight-style stuff.
5. Rush is undoubtedly more intellectual than Hannity is. I don't think anyone will doubt that. Hannity is usually a nice guy, but he is too sensitive. Like Bill O'Reilly, he whines too much about his critics. I don't like to see victimhood in the conservative circles. Grit your teeth and bear it, for pete's sake! Rush does this all the time, and Rush scores ratings that far exceed BOR and Hannity.
6. Fringes? Yeah, I have a fringe jacket in suede somewhere, but I think I was not at my full height when someone gave me that. I am disappointed in Hannity for the remarks.
7. Hannity's show appeal is more regional than Rush's. I think we have differing target demographics here. I can't imagine bashing fellow conservatives will go over all that well in the heartland. Extremist as a term is highly variable. It has been defined downward to meaninglessness.
8. Inevitably you'll have some strange folks on any forum. There aren't all that many here, and if anything things have gotten better.
In short, I'm disappointed in Hannity. He's going the O'Reilly route, so he'll get the same treatment I give BOR...every now and then I'll check on him, but I'll seee him as a quasi-elitist.
"It's gold, Jerry, gold!"
Damn, Unnnngh! went to 10K? I'm gonna have to find that thread...bet there are some hysterical graphics on it.
How're ya doing? Drop me a note and let's talk.
He's way too thin skinned in my opinion and when he's called out by someone who doesn't see eye to eye with him instead of agreeing to disagree he goes into rabid dog mode on that someone. In other words he attacks the person instead of the idea.
This makes him seem small in my eyes and it can be embarrassing at least for me because a good portent of the left judges us by his antics.
