Denny Crane: "There are two places to find the truth. First God and then Fox News."
I doubt he he would even rate as a moderate.
Do you have an ACU numbers on him?
I thought he was Ford's son. If this guy runs, he wins. We definitely have a few states at risk and this is one senate seat we may just lose.
That is what I thought also.
This nonsense that he is a conservative or moderate is just PR to get him elected in the South.
Honestly, and I'm trying to be nice here, but I'm really increasingly believing Sean Hannity was right when he said we've been taken over by a bunch of kooks.
Lamar Alexander on the issues:
Totally pro-life. Rated 0% by NARAL
Tennessee was the 5th lowest taxed state when he was governor.
Against racial preferences.
Very pro-business. 100% from the Chamber of Commerce.
Very conservative on education: pro-vouchers, pro-teacher testing, merit pay for teachers.
For drilling in ANWAR
100% pro-family
Supports Isreal
No US military under UN control
Against CFR
Was for repealing the Assult Weapons Ban
0% from the APHA, indicating that he is 100% against socialized medicine.
For SDI
0% from SANE, an anti-war/military group
For private accounts on social security
For Bush's tax cuts
73% from NTU, indicating he is above average on tax issues
Really, this info isn't hard to find. And frankly, if this is your idea of a RINO, then, well, fine, I guess I'm a RINO too.
Oh, and to answer your question: No, I don't work for Lamar. I've never even met him, and I don't live in Tennessee. That said, I've been an admirer of his since his presidental campaign in '96 and I still am.
Your opinion, since I don't know him outside of the (loving) press.
Is he a beliver in an ideology and a set of beliefs, or is his only priority himself.
After his stunt last year, I think that he only cares about what can get him elected and he will do, and say whatever will get him elected (hell, he goes on FOX network alot).
My fear, is not his beliefs (I do not think he has any), but his forced loyalty to his masters to do what they want, and say, and vote, whatever they say.
He would sell his soul if you gave him the right price.
> Lamar is a great Senator, and in my opinion, he may well have beaten Clinton in 96 had we run him.
Yes, Mrs. Alexander, we also think your son is a nice man.
LOL
He doesn't stand a chance statewide. In Memphis anybody named Ford can get elected, but he won't even come close outside of Mephis. It will be interesting to see if he also runs for re-election for his house seat at the same time.
Nope, rotates every election.
Dennis always called me his 'little right wing radical'.
JUNIOR doesn't give a rats behind about any thing or any one but himself. He will say and do anything to further his road to the White House.
He even has alot of Free Republic people fooled.
Not a chance.
Tennessee repudiated AlGore and this Ford dude is just a less overtly psycho version of AlGore.
" ...prospects hindered by his family name..."
what goes around, comes around. the family name got him elected in the first place.
IF JUNIOR is a moderate, I'm a skinny 25 year old once again......it's been over a quarter of a century and 20 extra pounds since I was a skinny 25 year old.
