But since their party is banned in Israel, why hasn't Hamas and Islamic Jihad been banned in the Palestinian Authority.

Comsidering the fact that they are openly harrasing a cabinet minister (and her mother), wouldn't you say that ban is rather ineffective? I would say they remain a factor, and I am sure Shin Bet agrees.

The PA still lacks the authority to ban any organization, but if Hamas/IJ continues to flout their authority as it is increased, I suspect they will end up on the banned list.

I can find pictures of President Reagan shaking hands with Gorbachev, that doesn't mean they were on the same side. In any case this is two dead people.

point well taken regarding the work accident. on RR however, i reject (l'havdil) comparing his memory with that of the 2 animals in the picture. the connection is that abu mazen was arafat's Y'Sh'Z' right hand man and co-founder of fatah. he has not changed his spots, just his clothes.
