the eagles are noble animals and the patriots are racists, sexists homophobes. Therefore, the eagles are going to win. There was a secretary at one of my old jobs who picked NCAA playoff teams based on how fierce their team name was. Seemed to work pretty well for her, amusingly enough.

I see a relatively close game at the half with the Pats putting them away in the third quarter.Fine about close at halftime.
I have two grand down on the Pats and giving 7. I don't care when they beat this Philly team, just so it's by more than 7.

I look for Philly being forced to abandon the run in the second half and McNabb throwing some interceptions. The Pats will convert them into some easy points to put the game away.

There is a piece on Bill Russell by Frank Deford in Sports Illustrated's book,
"Fifty Years of Great Writing".
The article is called, "The Ring Leader".
Find it!
*****
"The greatest team player of all time, Bill Russell was the hub of a Celtics dynasty that ruled its sport as no other team ever has. Thirty years after his first story about Russell, the dean of SI writers revisited the big man.
This guy, Bill Russell, back in the '50's taught me evrything I needed to know about winning............ and about life.

Just looked at Shania again here at 2:00 in the morning. That is one beautiful picture. Not only is she exquisite, but the photographer did a great job too.

Don't be insulting - it makes a bad first impression, and you don't have much to work with anyway.
I've suffered through listening to all those you've mentioned and they give me the sh_ts. Almost without exception there has been no really good, creative, original C&W music to come out of the industry in the last couple of decades. I keep listening to the new stuff, looking for something worthwhile, and am disappointed more times than not.
There used to be a higher percentage of performers who demonstratedly wrote their own material, unlike today. They were the creative ones because it was their product; unlike a stable of writers who crank-out material for interchangeable performers.
Yes, Jackson has a song with good lyrics, but the presentation is horrible. The lyricist is to be commended; the performer is not.
