Haven't read through all posts so forgive me if this is a repeat.

The fact that there was so little violence is directly related to our ability to seek them out and kill them. We have been so successful that they no longer have the manpower to carry out a coordinated attack on a large scale. They can disrupt via IED's and occasional mortar and rocket attacks, but they are finished.

Those left are just looking for a body bag to climb into. Its just a matter of time.

Hats off to our military and to the Iraqi people. What a statement.

If the MSM isn't denigrating the process they're pretending to know what they're talking about.

As far as some not knowing all the candidates.....how about the dems who 'help' the uninformed, the nursing home patients, the mental patients, VOTE right here in the good old USA.

Why America is so good it even lets the dead vote. Surely, they know all the candidates and their positions.....right?

The MSM didn't misjudge. They were hoping that it would not be a good turnout. Better the people should live in tyranny than President Bush to have been deemed correct.

Will the ACLU sue on his behalf? /sarcasm

Don't laugh. I'm sure there are lawyers at the ACLU (is there anyone else besides lawyers at the ACLU?) who have discussed just that.

Surely, they know all the candidates and their positions.....Why do you think HildaBeast had the FBI files for so long? So that she would know their positions and peccadilloes.

Since they make up about 25% of the population, it looks like they predominately did not vote. There seems to be overwhelming turnout of Shia and Kurds which is to be expected.

As I posted on a DU related thread:

shrill (shrl)
adj. shrill·er, shrill·est
1. High-pitched and piercing in tone or sound: the shrill wail of a siren.
2. Producing a sharp, high-pitched tone or sound: a shrill fife.

Example (quoted from DUmbass 'patsified' on the DU thread "Iraqi Voter Turnout Placed at 72%"):
"Was this worth destroying the United States of America? Was this worth sending our nation tumbling into the toilet? Was this worth destroying our reputation and the worth of our word in the world? Were the lies worth it? Was this worth the billions and billions of dollars emptied from our nation's treasury? Was the enrichment of Halliburton and the Carlyle Group worth it? Was this worth the bloodshed of soldiers and of innocents? Was it worth losing your arms, little Ali? Was there NO OTHER WAY to have achieved this? Am I supposed to jump up and down and clap and dance and cry for joy that MY nation has been turned into a [expletive]pile and everyone in the world hates MY nation now? There is no democracy here in America, but I am supposed to be overwhelmed with good cheer that it exists for the Iraqis?"

Is anyone surprised at how the left and the leftist dominated media have reacted to the overwhelming success of the Iraqi elections? If yes, tell me how you have decorated the area under your rock.
