I will never get over the Vietnam era when people who had lost their loved ones would get phone calls from fellow Americans telling how glad they were their son or husband had been killed by the glorious National Liberation Front. We must never allow that to happen again in this country.

If you are ever in the States, go to Okracote, NC and you will find a graveyard that is a little piece of England that was ceded back to England. In the graveyard is the crew of a British sub chaser that helped patrol the North Carolina coast. The Union Jack flies proudly there.

The media in other countries treat Americans no worse than the American press.

And if you go to Concorde Bridge ("The shot heard around the world") you'll find the graves of the two British soldiers killed there marked and maintained — complete with small Union Jacks.

The one in North Carolina is from WWII. Few people realize that at the start of WWII after Pearl Harbor, England, as strained as their resources already were, sent her ships to patrol and protect the US coast until we could get our anti-submarine forces in gear.
