I'm still awake too. The best commentary has been right here. I've just been reading and praying for our leadership, for all of our brave men and women who are making this historic day come to pass and for all of those brave, Brave Iraqi people who are voting for THEIR future.
May God Bless them, our Military and the US of A.
LMAO!!
That should narrow down the options when we go looking for insugents tomorrow- they will stick out like unstained index fingers.
Might not have to wait until tomorrow in one area if all the good guys and gals left for a thirteen mile hike to vote ... then who's left in town while they are gone?
That above report was Andrew (?) Stack in Baghdad for FNC.
David Lee Miller in Mosul saying about 200 voters in his location so far. Expect those to steadily increase. No voters during the first hour, but ever since then they are increasing. People casting ballots b/c security there is very visible. 2 search locations on an outer perimeter and then again another search closer to the actual polling location.
Right. Just reporting what they are saying.
Maybe we should give a little Statue of Liberty to the Iraqis.... |
That would be perfect; |
"Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me. I lift my lamp beside the golden door." |
We just need to figure out out to get a specific reference in there to the Palestinians. |
Checking back in. There are 30,000 polling places across Iraq. More than 14 million Iraqis registered to vote.
Kerry's not there for the elections, he's hoping someone will detonate a fig or date cache so he can win another purple heart.
The MSM will never ever ever ever ever say anything slightly positive about the elections in Iraq.So lets forget about them tomorrow. The hr their headlines ready days ago. They dont care one iota what the reality might be , it's not important to them . HATE BUSH and all he does ..That's all there is to it. It's sick and twisted behaviour. Victor Davis Hanson did a great piece on the mental illness of the left..By the way , hanson is a MUST read for everyone here of like mind.
"Talk about peer pressure!! If you haven't voted, it's obvious, and if you have, it's obvious."
"LOL, I hadn't thought of that, but your right, wow that IS pressure!"
I doubt any terrorists or insurgents have blue fingers... it might be a clue?!
Precisely why I said a week ago that Zarqawi and his minions will be caught shortly after the Iraq elections.
I agree.
I expect him to say, "We could've done this smarter and on and on.."
Real lame.
I saw Sheila Jackson Lee saying on H & C the other night saying that we need to "Internationalze it". Only the Democrats would say such a thing. We are in the process of Iraqizing the effort and the nutty Left wants us to hand over the keys to the French.
I sure do hope he pushes that line tomorrow...he'll look like tha a-hole he is.
"Widespread bloodshed through Iraq
7 killed"
Are they talking about LA?
Has been a little violence in Mosul, some mortar, etc. and a few AIF (?) trying to itimidate voters about a block from that polling place in Mosul but they can be scared away. A Fox person went over with a camera and they pretty much went running away.
"No more 99.99 % in Iraq!
This is the figure of the Arabs' dictators except Saddam!
He used to get 100%!
Surprisingly those who voted for the master of the mass graves are abstaining now!
Our voting is:
No to the terrorists!
No to the dictatorships!
No to hate and racism!
No to the fascists!
No to the Nazis!
No to the mentally retarded tyrants!
No to the ossified, narrow-minded and intolerants!
The Iraqis are voting in few hours time for the new Iraq.
We are going to create our future by ourselves not by dictators.
We are going to say:
Yes for the freedom and democracy!
Yes for the civilized Iraq!
Yes for peace and prosperity!
Yes for coexistence!
Yes for the New Iraq!
Let them bomb and kill us. It will not deter us!
Let them send their dogs to suck our bones. We care not!
Let them bark. It will not frighten us.
Let them see how civilised to be free and democratic!
Let them die by our vote tomorrow! It is the magic bullet which will kill them!
Welcome New Iraq.
Welcome freedom and democracy.
Welcome peace and prosperity for all nations with out exception but terrorists!"
