The man won 95 games and took the Yankees with their $50 Million payroll and Roids to to Game 7 of the ALCS. Replacing him with an unproven manager was ballsy on Epsteins part.
On the other hand, Cowher has had many more losses in big games with his team favored and at home. If he loses again tonight he's in the loser barrel with Dan, Peyton and Marv.

I don't care what Grady Little did prior, he sucked at the time he managed the Red Sox in Autumn 2003. S U C K E D. I was routing for the Sox and I know he sucked. Why don't you?
As for today's game, spin what you want. I don't trash talk and I won't do it now. It will be an epic game, and we'll all be better for seeing it. Go Steelers!

Interesting!
And another thing, we don't need no geniuses today!
As Joe Theisman put it, "The word 'genius' isn't applicable in football. A genius is a guy like Norman Einstein."

On the other hand, Cowher has had many more losses in big games with his team favored and at home. If he loses again tonight It's obvious that you are but a serious fan, never a player at a high level. No big deal. If you had been a player at those levels you wouldn't be saying things like "Cowher has had many more losses in big games", and "If he loses again tonight".
It's NOT Cowher who lost the games, it's the players, the coaches, the refs, the general vibes, and the gods, and good fortune (breaks). The head coach doesn't have the influence in today's game that you seem to think. Get a grip and enjoy the game(s).

I'd like to correct your statement, if I might be so bold.
You said "it's the players, the coaches, the refs, the general vibes, and the gods, and good fortune..."
I would have said "it's the Cowher AND the players, the coaches, the refs, the general vibes, and the gods, and good fortune

Rothlisberger probably sent the Jets placekicker a present for missing those two field goals, for if he hadn't Rothlisberger would have had the wrath of the Burgh. It wouldn't have been pretty.

Rothlisberger probably sent the Jets placekicker a presentLOL! Doug Brien, the Jet kicker is really appreciated these days around The Burgh. A guy in Point Breeze likes him so much, he renamed two of his sons, "Doug" and "Brien".
Yoi and double yoi!

Roethlisberger probably sent the Steeler defense a present for keeping the Jets 'kicker' so very far back. If the Jets 'kicker' had been given a 30 yard chip shot, the world would be very different right now. But, the Jets couldn't move the ball that close in the face of the Steeler defense.

You're correct and about the defense and I don't know what Brien's % was from beyond 40 yards, but he if he would have made those kicks Brien would have been the toast of Broadway and Rothlisberger the pariah of the Strip.

Bringing up Cowher's record in big playoff Games isn't trash talking, it's directly applicable to discussing todays game. Just like Peyton's record was against the Pat's was last week.
You seem to be saying Coaches aren't responsible for preparing their teams to win except for poor Grady. We'll see what the Pittsburg press has to say if the Steelers lose again.
Enjoy the game. I'll be back to take my lumps if the Steelers manage to win.

Grady left that damn fool pitcher in there too long. Story of Grady's life. You can't compare baseball managers to football coaches that easily. Different pulse and strategy and feel and so forth.
Enjoy the game.
You too. It will be one for the NFL Films library of greatness. Epic.

I'll be back to take my lumps if the Steelers manage to win.LOL! I'll be back afterward to MOAN if the Steelers manage to lose, if I haven't thrown myself down the well down in the woods.
If the Steelers do lose, I hate to say it, it will very likely be those long, unexpected returns, those unwanted fumbles and tipped passes that will beat them. I think the Steelers are a slightly better team than the Patriots, but it's football in terrible weather.........nearly anything can happen. But, I think the Steelers have had way too much bad luck (forget Brien) in their past meaningful playoff games over the past few years. They're due to get a break today.
