"The sweet sounds of hiding behind the civilian populace is now gone and so will half of his insurgents shortly."

With so many "captures" I'm a bit reluctant to believe the evil scum has been caught but let us pray that's the case.

When both Dan Rather and DEBKA both confirm this story, then I'll believe it.

They would like to take him into custody and make him president. We are wasting our money and soldiers on these terrorists.

This "no comment" from the Iraqi official is more encouraging than the last instance of a report of his capture. The last time Iraqi officials and Centcom were quick to deny the initial reports.

Yes, "more info", "election timing", makes sense. Although, I would think if they really did have him the news of that would be near impossible to keep secret. In any event, I hope the "no comment" is not out of embarassment "for letting him go" as an earlier poster mentioned. That's one scenario I wouldn't care to think about.

We shall see..

"If the perp is still at large, it might bring him out to dennounce the 'false' message, and that exposes him to tracking. "

But then the Iraqi government leaks to the press that they tortured and forced him to make the video saying he's still at large. (They did it to keep the cells from going to ground before they could be rounded up.)

Then Abu Musab al-Zarqawi will have to make another video saying the government is lying about forcing him to make a video saying he wasn't captured.

Then...
