It wasn't my fault! They were on a triple bill with KISS and Slaughter! :^)

Sad to admit I saw Duran Duran in concert, so that is definitely one-up on ya.

It was actually a pretty good show and lots of hotties in the crowd.

I think you've gotten the "haaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhht" down very well, B. Good. Very good. It's fun to practice. Once you start with it, it's hard to stop. Especially after a few cocktails. I'm a bad influence. :-)

He/she's haaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhht. See, like that. :-)

When I was in 3rd grade I LOVED Duran Duran! I had the Duran Duran lunch box, folders, buttons on my jean jacket.

80's Van Halen seemed so racy and it's so tame by todays standards.

I think I just channeled my mom talking about the Beetles.

"Hungry Like the Wolf" was my personal favorite.

They had some great videos though I had to watch them on Friday Night Videos since we didn't have cable.

VH1 did a "Where are they now?" with Kip Winger. His wife was killed in a car accident and he became a Christian. Then I felt bad for making fun of him.

I saw Duran Duran too.

October, 2003. Atlanta. The original lineup together for the first time in years. When they busted out "Hungry Like The Wolf", the place exploded. :^)

Margaret Cho is a huge lib, but I saw her on tv one time and she did have me cracking up talking about all the 80's children 50 years from now in the nursing homes asking the orderlies, "Oh play, 'Hungry Like the Wolf' again" in this little old lady voice.

I know! I felt the same way. I felt like I should send an apology to him or something. "Sorry I made fun of your dumb band."

"Nothing wrong with that, but it's no reason to mock others choices simply because it's not your cup of tea."

I wouldn't know if they were "my cup of tea" or not. Honestly, I had never heard of some of those bands. I am clueless about the Outlaws and er... I forgot the names of the others but there were 3 or 4 that I had never heard of. I wasn't mocking anyone.

PS. yes, I have heard the term "Bee's Knees". Isn't it a 1920's expression? I was surprised because I had never heard it used before.
