The people around Kerry have been polite long enough, in consideration for the defeated candidate's ego. It's time to tell Kerry the truth: he doesn't matter any more. No one takes advice from a loser. It just doesn't work that way.
just ask Al
Do you remember where you read it? I heard that they got along.
Just as aside, the Senate is a pretty small club, and those guys are together day in and day out, year in and year out. With Kerry's dismal Senate record, Senator Heinz obviously knew Lurch was a do-nothing, not representing the interests of his state, and only there for the honor and power of the job. (I know I resent slackards, don't we all?
Twenty years on the job, and not a single bill to his credit is pretty bad no matter how you slice it. If poor John Heinz had had a clue that this bum was going to have access to his family fortune he'd have taken measures to prevent a penny going to him. But then, how was he to know his own (weak link) wife would be this opportunist's victim? I keep hoping she'll wise up and send him packing some day soon.
John Kerry has wanted to be President for 40 years. You think he's ready to give up? I don't think so. It's going to be so interesting to see Gore, Kerry and Clinton in the 2004 Primaries.
