I implied no such thing. Every rational person knew that Hussein was a malignant dictator including myself. Talking about how people felt beforehand is a parlor game akin to 'Should we have dropped the bomb at Hiroshima' or 'Should Lincoln have let the South go'. What's the point? We have to win now.

Mel's father has nothing to do with this.

What did the press really expect Mel to say about Moore's film?
"God, that piece of XXXX movie was the biggest steaming pile I have seen in a long time"
It just isn't going to happen...especially back stage at an awards show.

Actually there are 22 different Rites. Then there are things like SSPXers. That's a meltdown discussion for another day.
Like any other religion there are those that are a great deal more conservative and those that are flaming liberals.

OK, I think everybody should calm down!!! Even if he doesn't agree with us on everything - he's still one of the very few people making movies that I am comfortable watching. "The Passion", "Braveheart", "The Patriot." These are all movies made from a conservative point of view, so I'm not going to dump him because he praised a left-winger.

vicious film? Did you see it? No one took Jesus' life. He GAVE it as a sacrifice for the sins of all mankind. That's hardly vicious.

Talking about how people felt beforehand is a parlor game akin to 'Should we have dropped the bomb at Hiroshima' or 'Should Lincoln have let the South go'. What's the point? We have to win now I asked a simple question in my reply #75, is the world better or worse off with saddam toppled.
You decided to give a somewhat ambiguous answer in your reply #77(iconoclast has been silent so far).
JMO, I think that the world is better off with saddam gone and saddam's terrorist allies, know that also, and are desperate in trying to make the American people weak in their resolve, and they have an ally in michael moore, and it also seems Mel Gibson, IMO.

Sometimes it's just entertainment and mind-numbing at that. At least thats what people tell me when I shred movies because of the inaccuracies.

so I'm not going to dump him because he praised a left-winger.Nobody's asking you to. MY issue with Mel is that he praised that POS film 9/11. Anyone who heaps praise upon a movie that slanders Bush and his family can go to hell, in MY opinion.

When between our founding and now did our foreign policy become "make the world better off"?
