The original was linked to by Poweline. Excellent roundup, by the way.
First Ted sits in judgement of Clarence Thomas during his confirmation hearings, now he says this crap?
No sense of shame when it comes to the Dems.

Dayton is correct that this business sets a bad precedent. How is it we've had 200 years of electing Presidents, without having these dog and pony shows over challenging the results? The trend towards phoney challenges needs to be stopped, now. Apparently we will have re-runs every four years, unless the Democrats win big.
To: crushkerry
The Dems are on the way to turning themselves into a caricature. This is not a good thing. Without serious competition from a legitimate alternative, the GOP will see no reason to govern decently either.

The dems have backed themselves into a corner. There support comes from fruitcakes like Moore and his adoring fans. They have no choice but to pay homage to these wackos.

With any luck at all, you'll be correct. I tend not to believe this is the case. Our House of Representatives and Senate our both in GOP hands and are in the process of spending our future generations in penury. We'll see how much of a mandate The President really is when he tries to pass a no-frills budget. Not a large one, would be my initial guess.

Congratulations! Good one,
CK and well said.
As for Maxine 'I love Fidel' Waters; thanking America's biggest propagandist. for his warnings re our Democracy. . .well, words fail right now. . .so I am still just pinching myself.
No question that these Demrats have 'protested too much'. I think now it is tied to to their guilt of knowing that they are so good at cheating; they simply cannot believe they lost.
If they persist. . .we should counter that maybe some of the 'blue states' need to be checked for irregularities. Dems never take a vote for granted; we know, 'they have been there'.
Maybe THAT would shut them up. . .or might make them howl a different tune at least.

Dayton used all due decorum last Thursday to remind Boxer to take her meds during the "historic" debate over the certification of President George W. Bush's victory. That should be "histrionic" debate.

We got Boxer
We got Pelosi
We got Waters
We got Waxman
We have more idiots representing us than all the other states in the union combined. Well Massachusetts might have us beat.

Over in the Judiciary Committee, where Alberto Gonzales was facing his inquisitors, Senator Ted Kennedy was condemning the act of "water-boarding" in which an interrogation subject is given the sensation that he is drowning as an incentive to cough up information. Unfortunately, Mary Jo Kopechne was unavailable to testify on Mr. Gonzales' behalf. Hahahaha, high fives! Kennedy, Boxer, Waters, etc. No wonder people laugh at us...

Dayton used all due decorum last Thursday to remind Boxer to take her meds during the "historic" debate over the certification of President George W. Bush's victory. "It's not often that I find myself rising in disagreement with [Boxer], but I must today emphatically disagree," Dayton said on the Senate floor. "I believe that those involved in this
are seriously misguided and leading us all into a very unfortunate precedent." This exchange occurred after Boxer was reduced to tears while she announced she would mount the challenge in the Senate after having been approached by a few radical members of the Lower Chamber. It's something she had always wanted to do, she confessed. She wanted to do it in 2000, but Al Gore of all people talked her off the ledge.
Boxer was the lone vote in the United States Senate to hold up the certification of President Bush's re-election. But let's give her a break. She has admitted to being "despondent" over the passing of Rep. Robert Matsui (D-Calif.). (Despondency: depression of spirits from loss of hope ...) (Emphasis added.)
Feel the pain Barbara!

Winning fair and square is no longer the standard. The standard has been lowered to "victory by deceit". It isn't about how you win, just win. Democrats cannot win outright and they know it. They prefer subversive tactics, much to the pleasure of socialists world wide.
