That means that, having insisted on the "right of return" (which is BS anyway), if he backs down he signs his own death warrant.
Not that he was planning for "peace talks" to be legitimate anyway. This is just part of the "peace offensive", a tactic learned from the old USSR.
Dollars to donouts this is just more of the same ole movie, where the Philistines say one thing in English to the US and say another thing in Arabic for their "constituents". I believe Abbas really wants peace the same way I believe the tooth fairy flies on a winged purple hippo.
