Jesus died for everyone's sins, even mine. Every soul that Christ shed his Blood and was resurrected for shall be with Him in Heaven.
So, if he died for everyone's sins, all are going to Heaven, right?

You've stated our Christian teaching. I believe Prager, as an orthodox Jew, is stating the Jewish teaching. Perhaps I'm wrong and someone more knowledgeable will correct me?

There is a word for this in Catholic teaching, but I cant recall what that word is. The word describes the situation where a person knowingly sins and takes the attitude that theyll just confess their sins later and all will be okay and that way they can get the best of both worlds. Does anyone know what word describes this type of person/conduct?

I am sure that everyone at sometime in there life has told someone to "Go to Hell" not a nice thing to say but I doubt that someone is really thinking they wish that person to be in a burning hell being tortured by hot flames...

"Is it morally and theologically acceptable to hope anyone goes to hell? ..."Frankly, I doubt my opinion would make much difference to the ultimate decision.
To: Lindykim; All
Yes.
Warren Sapp is gonna go to hell for his un-necessary blindside hit of Chad Clifton of the Packers two years ago.
To: Clemenza
"If there's hell below, we're all gonna go." Not me, dude.

All of the REAL Christians I know, (and i have actually met a few) would instead hope and pray that a sinner changes his ways and repents. Yep. They might darn a sinner to Heck, though.

No we're not. I know I'm going to heaven because of my faith in Jesus Christ. Many others here will also not go to hell. I pray you don't either.

IMO, It should be the Christian hope that all be saved.
But, I also believe that knowing someone will possibly go to hell by all outward appearances (and feeling that would be justice), is not the same as hoping someone would go to hell.

If I could give up my life of doing good and forfiet my soul to hell, I would do it in an instant if it meant saving even the enemieds of God. This is Christianity.

I think we're here to TELL the good news. If they don't listen, so be it. So in that sense we shouldn't wish hell upon anyone. On the other hand, I feel confident in saying that Yasser Arafat, Hitler, and others are being sodomized by Beelzebub and his ilk as we speak.

It isn't me who is proposing this.
It's Dennis Prager who is.
