Understood!!!
I don't know why I wrote it like I did. I guess I'm reacting to (conditioned by?) what i see as the avalanche of positive press Hillary will get, and the dismissive response those who have many legitimate concerns (like myself) will receive. They will all say it's "old news" and "more smears." The people who adore her JUST WON'T LISTEN!!! That really scares me. Then again, the truth won out on Kerry.
Whatever. Thanks for link. I know there's a LOT of VERY shady stuff.
Please, don't let her get anywhere near the White House!!!

I hear you, loud and clear.

That is not entirely correct.
I have very little basis on which to believe that, in the current situation, any real Republican could contest Hilda for the 06 seat in NY.
Crap, you could be a three eyed child, born of an extraterrestial and a Frenchman, and as long as you ran on the Democratic ticket, you would take NY, or Mass, or Ca.
I'm not even sure that she is not one. :^)
She pretty much has to stay left of center to ensure victory in 06.
After that she will continue her move to the center (how did Bill win reelction?), and the machine that Bill built up will, along with the endless nurturing of the MSM (to be an insrument for change, doncha know?), will be very powerful indeed in 08.
1)She will run.
Bill wants to be in the White House again. Think about that.
2) She will stiff arm the loons like Moore, and continue the Orwellian doublespeak that every issue is a moral issue.
- Think:
Poverty will be a a moral issue.
Health care will be a moral issue.
I'm calling, here and now, that this will be a major platform plank in 08 unless the GOP counterattacks in some way.
3) She will select a candidate for VP that WILL really help to further those ambitions.
Bill Clinton would never have selected Edwards.
Even Gore would have been better this time around.
This ticket would alarm me:
Hillary/Richardson.
That would be tough to beat, and if you don't believe that, and if you fail to prepare for this eventuality, then prepare for the possibility of 8 more years of a Clinton White House.
And that frightens me.

Our role as FReepers will be to FReep her everywhere she goes, as Red Badger suggested above:
She won't run, officially, until after her LISTENING TOUR of NY, NJ, PA, MI, MN, MA, NH & CA etc.....
I'm not kidding when I saw we successfully got her appearances shut down in various sites in the 1998 campaign when she showed her face in Illinois to stump for Carol Mostly-Fraud (now thankfully GONE out of the Senate)! Hillary is smart enough to know that the light shining on her shady past will not help her one iota.

Let her raise money all she wants.......as we saw on Nov. 2, the millions raised to DEFEAT Dubya meant squat. She hasn't got a chance IF the red states continue to be united and if we take our message to some of those blue areas that Kerry won by a squeek.........we can't rest dear friends. The battle goes on......2006 is just around the corner for us to increase our majorities in the House and Senate. Wins in that election to the Republican corner will make her think she's been hit by a Mac truck! (Rudy, pleeeeeeze run for Senator from NY in 2006........pleeeeze!) *~*

Hillary will lose to Giuliani in 2006 and that will finish her off. Think Bill is a well man, he will not last another year, IMO. With or without Bill she will lose.

No one's ever accused her of being stupid. Dishonest, etc., yes, but not stupid.
So maybe if the winds aren't right, she won't run. I can hope, can't I?

"I agree that HRC can't win. But I believe she will run anyway because she definitely can't win if she doesn't run. HRC doesn't care about the Democratic party except insofar as it advances her own interests. That is why I think HRC will try to get the nomination, no matter what the eventual outlook is. She would rather run and lose than have the Democrats try and win with another candidate."It is about power, and I said nothing relating to Hillary not running.
She is Evita reincarnated, and we haven't yet become a third world nation.
Let's keep it that way. ;)

I cannot say who will be the Republican nominee, however you can bet your best pair of Texas boots they are working on that as we type. ;)

I think she wants to be Majority Leader of the Senate. D@mn straight skippy!! She knows that all she needs is a solid base in her home state and she can be a player in Washington for twenty years. Why be Pres when you don't have too?
The only thing I would contest is that she has much of a chance at "Majority Leader." The Demos are a minority and will continue to be so. I predict a long term shift in politics has occurred and the pendulum - well, she swings back the other way now.
To: G.Mason
I wasn't arguing with you. I agree that HRC won't win.

While the dems are constantly "misunderestimating" President Bush .. there is no such disconnect in conservative circles. We know exactly what and who Hillary is and we will never be so stupid as to underestimate her motives.
