The day just wouldn't be right without an appearance by that dieseldyke Maude Finley, would it?
And who is Carrie Bradshaw?

That was her interview ... he asked her her religion:
Mary: Mr. Grant, I don't think you're allowed to ask me that.
Mr. Grant: Wanna call a cop?

LOL! That's right; I remembered the first fact, but not his retort.
Then he asks her... what? Why she isn't married?
Her answer: "Presbyerian."
Favorite line from the Lou Grant series, on why he didn't take up with this much-younger woman who had a crush on him: "I'd have to explain something to her before we could argue about it."

What is the fascination with Seinfeld? I really, really don't get it.

They have to put the ensemble cast of Will and Grace on because they suck individually. The show is not even funny anymore. The cast of Cheers was a far superior ensemble as well as being a better show. The only thing that keeps W+G afloat is the whole fag thing.

Lou Grant probably is in my top ten or so. Pity about the actor's politics but, both on the MTM show and in Lou Grant, loved the Grant character. Agreed. That show was so well written and cast ... it was a great ensemble. Loved Ted Baxter as well.

I've never thought of this until your post, but Ted Knight/TedBaxter was the only male actor who could give Mary Tyler Moore a run for her money on being the funniest cry-er. Know what I mean?

Where the hell is Normy from Cheers?
And how bout Steve Austin? No one was as popular in my grade school.

The only other good role Asner ever had in my opinion was in Enemy at the Gate. That's about it though...
