In all fairness, Sean was not that quick to jump on board with the swifties this summer. He was actually rather tepid in his support at first. Plus, intead of crediting the work of the bloggers and brethren on FR, he credited his interviews as blowing the lid on Rather. With Sean, it's all about Sean.
When Sean takes calls, he is always up on a hard break. If he does have an extended conversation, it's usually with a ditz or some guy that's obviously not up to his smash mouth style. With Rush, he never appears afraid of going up against anyone.
I prefer song-girls
But hey, if you prefer cheerleaders, it's ok by me. Just show the pics.
That's what they tell ALL the non-liberals that sign on there; it never works out that way.
Maybe he didn't have an affair with her, but he sure ran thick with Gary Condit and that bunch; and he left town shortly after the police came up with 11 different men's DNA in that apartment.
And if Rush is up to a break he'll hold the caller over to finish the conversation.
You are right. I give him credit for his hard work.
Rush: funny, articulate, and underrated as a pundit. The guy who started it all.
Savage: a schizophrenic grouch.
Hugh Hewitt: a big-tent Republican butt-boy.
O'Reilly: a phony, self-important, loudmouthed, crybaby jerk.
Laura Ingraham: second-rate, derivative, tries to hard.
Dennis Prager: holier-than-thou.
Larry Elder: skilled debater.
Wasn't it Joe who did a 180 on Bush when he brought up the constitutional amendment on gay marriage ? I haven't watched the guy since.
Perfect handle.
I believe Sean is the most honest Jabber Maven on TV. I believe his character is solid - "all wool and a yard wide."
Scarborough ran with Condit when they were in the House?
Yep.
Chandra Ann Levy (April 14, 1977 - 2001) was an intern who worked at the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Washington, D.C. and is notable for disappearing after having an affair with U.S. Rep. Gary Condit (D-Calif.) . On May 1, 2001 police said she had disappeared and controversy surrounding her disappearance was a main topic of American news headlines for the months prior to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack. The resulting publicity contributed to Condit's failure to win re-election to his seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
In late May, 2001, he (Scarborough) announced his resignation from Congress. As he told the Pensacola News Journal at the time of his retirement, he left Congress to spend more time with his children, practice law, and launch a cable news program.
OMG!
I didn't realize Scarborough LEFT ahead of the expiration of his term.
Now THAT is interesting.
I see a new drinking game!
I'm not to sure about him being friendly with Gary Condit. I remembered him before the scandal, and he wasn't well liked by anyone pretty much. Condits record was left of center, but mostly BS type stuff, essentially, he was one of the moderates (blue dog, or yellow dog democrats). Everyone saw him as an oppurtunist. Joe was pretty conservative and not known to get along with most legislators, he liked arguing with people and was loathed by alot of moderates for his arrogance.
When Scarbouragh's aide died, he was in Florida seeing his kids, he usually didn't come home every weekend, but due to marital problems, was making an effort to see his family more, he came back ASAP when she died. He was cleared, and he wanted to make sure that any hint of scandal was removed. It didn't stop rumors from starting though.
Exactly. And that 12-city tour, and his support, moral and financial, for military families is fantastic. He's done a lot to bring people TO the Republican Party.
Joe's doing it for ratings bump.
