How about divorce #2 earlier this year, plus lower ratings for L&O:CI due to "Desperate Housewives". Plus, he tends to "live" his roles, psychologically and physically. He's gained weight/lost weight for roles many times.
Then again, maybe he's just DU putz...

AHHH JEEZE! I HATE to ask, but what's Tony Shalob done now? I LOVE Monk! : (Nothing I've seen since the election but several months ago he was up on some Rat rally stage screamming his head off. I try to block out these unpleasant sights and sounds! As of late, he has been remarkably quiet.
