And when a soldier shoots a terrorist, when no one else is around, does the rifle firing the bullet still make a bang sound?

The soldier was just accomodating the terrorist, after all he wanted to go to Paradise to meet his 72 "virgins."

Are you certain that Bubba Clinton is not back visiting merry old England? Sounds like his handiwork.

It's too bad the marine wasn't leaning over the wall shooting the British party boy "reporter."

What's the problem? We want all of the insurgents dead. Like Smokey the Bear would say, "Make sure that campfire is DEAD OUT!" The metaphor of the insurgent like a campfire says that in this case, the insurgent must be killed or they will start back up and burn you again.

Off topic, buy maybe you, as a Vietnam veteran, can help. The picture taken of the Viet cong being executed...the bullet to the side of the head..I think it was in Time magazine so many years ago...wasn't there something significant that happened before the street execution that failed to make it out to the general public. They just saw/read what the journalist wanted them to see. I faintly recall someone telling me that the prisoner had committed a horrible act, but it completely escapes me.
Sorry, I can't help you. After my tour in Nam, I spent nearly five years trying to put the whole experience behind me. And to this day, I don't watch movies or read books or articles about it...I don't need any refresher courses, thank you. If ya know what I mean.

Hey GB, these are U.S. Marines!! They kill people and break things, it's their job. Don't piss them off because when the Islamofacist's take over your little island, you'll be begging the U.S. Marines for help!!
To: Buckeye Battle Cry
What is obvious in the video is that the Marines are in a hurry to move along, and don't have time to sit there and beg the guy to give up or wait for him to die. The lives of other Marines may depend on them getting to where they need to be.
Tough cookies for the terrorists, but I wasn't bothered by the video.

A US marine has sparked world-wide revulsion after being seen shooting an injured and helpless Iraqi.
Was the injured and helpless Iraqi still armed (weapon within reach) and possibly conscious? If so, the Marine had every right and duty to kill him.

I'll withhold judgement, I do know that these guys have "pretend surrendered" then whipped out a weapon on many occasions. Also using women, children, ambulances, mosques, schools... and by the way, have they starting wearing uniforms yet?

Yeah right. No wonder the British hide up our skirts.
But not the Brit military. I believe the last bayonet charge was made by British soldiers against Iraqis, possibly the Black Watch? I remember they were Scots.

Wasn't John Kerry awarded the Silver Star for jumping from his swift boat shooting a wounded VC in the back?
