God rest this young man's soul. While it may be little comfort to his family now, many of us, so many of us are thankful for what he gave and what they gave. Just as we will never understand the depth of their pain, they will never know the depth of our gratitude. Our prayers are with them.

I'm sorry for the loss of your friend, and sorry for his family.
LCpl Simpson, I'm sure, knew why he joined the Marines, & had his reasons for doing so.
And since he didnt seek CO status, maybe he believed in the reasons as to why our armed forces are involved in this conflict.
Remember the things you did together as friends. And firmly fix those images in your mind.
In the future, whenever you again do those same things, make yourself remember your friend.
That way he lives on in your memory.
Thats how I have kept my friends who are gone in my memory.
It's all I can do for them now.
