Nope, it's a quote from a Perry Mason novel. I don't have any gay bones in me.
That's because we are more wise than you could ever be. In other words, I look down on your 'scientific' ideas. Your degrees did not help you much.
Can't agree with what?
Sorry, you're wrong. Lots of rank-and-file Republican supporters are angry over Specter. You obviously have no clue of Specter's nefarious and traitorous past. Unlike the historic 1994 election, conservatives aren't just going to sit back and hi-five each other and let the Republicans we elected return to RINO business as usual. We're involved and there's not a thing you or the establishment GOP hacks can do about it.
This is a man who says that Roe v. Wade, the paragon of judicial activism, is "involate." He has promised the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that he will not allow any "extremists" (read: judges who believe the Constitution actually means what it says) to be appointed. Which promise is he going to keep--the one he made to them or the one he's making to us?
You do realize that that statistic is miniscule but exaggerated by the abortion lobby, right?
Actually ignoring the threats from the unappeasable has been quite effective.
I never said you did. I said that Specter believes taxpayers should be forced to pay for abortions, whether they like it or not. Doesn't that qualify him as pro-abortion?
"Some folks want women, even if raped, to have to carry what amounts to a parasitic growth in their body. I don't, that's all."
So, in your view, two wrongs make a right? What did that unborn child do to deserve a death sentence? Who gives who the right to play God and decide who is to die and who is to live?
Actually ignoring the threats from the unappeasable has been quite effective.
There are, however, a large number of conservative Republicans hacked off at Specter, and who are demanding that he be held to account. I'm one of them.
Bottom line: he's shown through his intemperate remarks that he has no business sitting as chair of the Judiciary Committee.
Methinks that he's going down on this one.
This forum is staunchly pro-life. If you believe in abortion then you might as well post somewhere else, because nobody is going to waste their time debating you about it.
I would never force someone to carry a gun, and I don't carry a gun, but I'm pro-gun because I think they should be legal. That's the way the term is used.
Could I be among those who will tell a woman she must carry any pregnancy to term, against her will?
In the same way, I could never tell a woman she has my permission to kill her child while there is no threat to her life. There is no circumstance I can imagine, short of self defense, that justifies that kind of murder.
You can rationalize that however you want to - you have spoken in favor of allowing a woman to murder her child.
Or, more accurately, to ask a doctor to murder it for her.
Shalom.
Yeah, all those emails, faxes, phone calls, and letters to Senator Frist's office didn't do much. Silly me, I think I'll assume the bend-over position now.
Interesting perspective, given the fact that the fetus is an individual with rights as well.
Sorry, but I wasn't ordered to go to church as a child and brainwashed on this issue. We went to all sorts of churches when I was young, and were allowed to choose which, if any, we wanted to go to. I chose to go fishing on Sunday, becoming an Icthypaleon.
You no doubt realize that morality exists regardless of whether one is a religious person. One need not attend church every Sunday to recognize that the right to life is a prerequisite for maintaining any society.
I hope you're trolling for a fight. If you actually believe what you just wrote you are one SICK individual.
Shalom.
That aside, those who continue their scorched earth threats should never be taken seriously.
So far all they've done is make a lot of noise.
It's her child. It's her parent's grandchild. It's a human being just as you are.
Tell you what: for argument's sake I'll cede the fact that abortion should be allowed in the event a woman becomes pregnant as a consequence of rape. Now let's talk about the other 99+% of abortions. Are they also "parasitic growths"?
