The number of U.S. citizens visiting Canada's main immigration Web site has shot up six-fold as Americans flirt with the idea of abandoning their homeland after President George W. Bush (news - web sites)'s election win this week. Great. Make Canada even more liberal than it already is. That's what America really needs north of the border.

All the dems coming up here better check their "cretindentials" .If they are white anglophones they will have to go in the very long line up.However any fugitive, drug dealer, past or future terrorist of mid east descent will be given top priority especially if they cannot speak any sense at all.

Metropolitan Ottawa has about 750,000 people, I think. It might be hard to accommodate 220,000 newcomers in one year. It would be great for the construction industry.

I bet a lot of the hits are simply out of curiosity. I looked at that very site, because I wanted to know the requirements too...so I could tell all of my liberal friends.

Let's face it, we have a population of a little over 32 million and we definitely need permanent residents to come to Canada," said Iadinardi. "If we could meet (the 2005) target and go above it, the more the merrier." All they need is a few Home Depot parking lots with Greyhound capabilities.

You know what is odd? Neil Peart drummer of the Canadian band Rush actually LEFT Canada and moved full time to California (same thing in my book) but the taxes were killing him up there.

The silver lining of increased US-Canadian emmigration is that US government social services costs should decrease proportionately. Call it the latest take on off-shoring.

Seriously, if even 10% of liberals decided to do this, it would so improve the quality of our democratic and legal processes. That alone is a huge benefit of a Bush Presidency.
