Hatch's demeanor is a disqualifier. He couldn't even herd his own Senatorial Republican peers into unanimously voting for Bubba's richly deserved impeachment.
The guy doesn't know how to go for the throat. Hatch would be a disaster.
Surely the party can come up with a better candidate than this.
If the GOP enforces strict fillibuster rules, and perhaps the "nuclear option", then Luttig can get through. Bush has got to flex his muscles. Luttig would be a driving force in reversing 40 years of Liberalism.
