No way. You think he will give up his free (ON US) ticket? No chance. We will pay for this 76% absentee until uncle Teddy is gone.

I agree. They will set up Hillary for 08'

What a fraud Kerry is. He never even should his horse face at the rally in Boston last night.

I think he sent his butler out to tell everyone to get off his lawn!

Good observation. Unfortunately, contrary to what we've all been saying about Hillary, Rockefeller may very well be the Dim nominee in 2008 and prove very hard to beat.

Reid will move over for hillary.

Not a chance. He's been there longer than Hillary, and Hillary is not liked by even her Democrat confreres.

It will be Reid (Nev).

Hillary will be selected for it. Sets her up for '08 presidential run. I don't think so. A leader is tied down too much doing the grunt work and is judged on their success. Hillary is going to be verrrrrrrrrrrry busy travelling here & there.

Does Kerry retain his senate seat in Massachusetts, or did he lose it?

"The smart money says Harry Reid but watch out for Jay Rockefeller."

Boxer may also make a push for the job.

Dude, a minority leader first has to show up in the Senate every day.....

That would sure cut into the windsurfing time. :^)

How could Kerry be minority leader -- he doesn't even know how to pass legislation after 20 years.

Bill Bennett asked Zell Miller about this and he suggested that Evan Biyah would be a good choice. Didn't think Reid was publicly articulate enough. Good. He's a hateful man.

Absolutely.

Kerry wouldn't like to have his cell phone ringing constantly when he's vacationing in the French Alps.

Re your #17;

"... as we pack the judiciary with consitutionalist judges. :D"

I sure hope you're right about that; but I'll believe it when I see it.

Justice Renquist, I'm afraid, is pretty much done for; I hope that BUSH appoints a REAL Conservative replacement PDQ.

Of course Republicans still need a 67% majority to really have a working "majority" over the partisan Dems, don't we?
That means any non-abortionist or Christian Judge will have to go in via recess appointments, or we will have to face another fillibuster, won't we?

Of course the Dems (and a few of our very own RINOS) will be "outraged" - but let 'em go bark at the moon!

I can see the Dems setting up a rotating Senator to be on the floor 24/7 so that the Senate never has another recess again, preventing W from slipping anything past them.
So he'd better get about salvaging what's left of the American Judiciary ASAP, IMHO!

"If it is official that Daschle loses his Senate seat, what are the chances Kerry is selected minority leader?"

Slim n none. Leaders have to attend hearings, and be available for "photo-ops" with the "boot(spelling?)-licking" media.

No, not Kerry and not Hillary. It will be a conventional boring choice like Dodd or Reid. Kerry is a shell. He's irrelevant. Hillary knows that senators don't win the presidency. She won't even be in the Senate past 2006.

Only 60% to break a fillibuster (cloture).

Keep an eye on Bush and make sure he doesn't cave on the judges. Scalias and Thomases only -- with a Ron Paul or two thrown into the mix. ;-)

It would be interesting to see the Swifties assertions put to rest one way or another and the confusion over Kerry's discharge put to the light of day.

If the guy is the bum he appears to be, this needs to be known to all without out any doubt.
