no, it will not destroy the country.
look, not all the people voting Dem are these hard core lunatics. I know alot of Democratic voters (I am in NY), they aren't these DU or moveon crazies - they are mostly regular people, who are politically ignorant and slaves to the MSM. Those people are not going to riot, and if they see another round of legal challenges and riots by the crazies, they might take notice of who really is in the Democratic party.

Juan Williams sounds like he's about to cry, on Fox News! Yeah, Juan's choking it back and looking down at the table. He knows its over.

Rosen is saying that any victory speech By President Bush would be inappropirate until the Ohio results are "certified".
I say "eff 'em"
W comes out tonight as soon as Iowa is called and declare victory.

I guess kerry is figuring 20 ec for ohio are contested and even if he won those he would loose

I can't get FOX here, can you? Yes. But, I've got them on "mute".

I don't think it willl destroy our country for Kerry to start to pull a Gore. It will destroy the dems.
Precisely, if Gore hadn't turned off so many people four years ago, this may not have been such a victory for the Republicans. He shot himself in the foot.

Yikes, John Fund on messnbc saying he thinks Kerry will unlease the Doomsday Machine, to litigate this...
To: TonyInOhio
If Kerry wants to save his reputation, he'll concede, soon. He doesn't have any understanding of what a reputation is.

Here's some of what DU is saying (not that it matters but I said I'd relay it since I'm registered)
Exit polls showed a Kerry win. Zogby showed a Kerry win. Turn out WAS high. New voter roles were high. That is positive for us. DO NOT CONCEDE. FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT AND PROJECT POSITIVE ENERGY.
There are over a qarter million uncounted votes in Ohio and Kerry believes he will win once the count is complete.
Something criminal has happened. America's vote has been subverted.
Boston, MA Kerry-Edwards campaign manager Mary Beth Cahill released the following statement: The vote count in Ohio has not been completed. There are more than 250,000 remaining votes to be counted. We believe when they are, John Kerry will win Ohio.
You don't know how bad I needed that. I was sitting here balling my eyes out.
We are dealing with crooks

Brit just pointed out that if the dems do this, the dynamic isn't the same. In 2000 you had two non-incumbents who couldn't begin to form a government until the issue was settled. Bush is IN OFFICE, so he has the mantle of the incumbancy. The mood and the dynamic is not the same.
So, you are quite correct. The dems will destroy themselves if they try this.

Does anyone know how much of the remaining votes Kerry would have to win (8% of precincts left)?

Ohio SOS website shows only 36,000 provisional ballots cast...don't know why this figure of 250,000 came from.

According to Yahoo:
Kerry is only up by 2000 in NV with 42% reporting.
Bush's lead has increased to 11000 in IA with 94% reporting.
Bush is up by 27000 in NM with 88% reporting (call it already!)

Cici Connelly on the main Fox Network (not Fox News Network): Not only is Team Kerry ready to contest Ohio, but they will contest New Mexico as well.

The DU crowd hates Bush so much, they must now be slashing their wrists over the fact that their LOSER candidate couldn't even beat Bush!
Their pretty-boy Edwards has to stay out of Dick Cheney's house!
And Little Tommy Dashole is getting spanked!
