"been asking this and can't find it, how did Cuyahoga pan out in 2000? So far only 122,000 votes counted (10%)."
...sorry, I don't have a record of that. Maybe someone else here will.
BTW, I'm not getting access to the Ohio site for now. The last time it worked for me, the returns were at about 50% with the President ahead by about six percentage points. I'll keep checking.

Not by a long shot. This thread is a Harfoot compared to the Hobbit Hole threads.

I heard on the radio coming home that there was about a 200,000 vote difference between absentee votes (Bush's favorite)

Jay Cost is comparing 2004 results with 2000 results, and most of the results in Ohio are favoreable this year compared to 2000, plus he has a 3.5% margin to work with.

Looks like Cuyahoga County is about 70,000 short of Gore totals - Kerry got 90,000. Shaker Heights had long lines at precincts - could be the American Jews went for Bush from Shaker Heights, IMHO. Zionist area, so I am very, very happy about this. You never know....

FROM BUSHIE [KJL]
Things are looking very good in Ohio. With the exception of a few Appalachian counties, were running significantly ahead of where we were four years ago. For example, we lost Columbus County by 5,000 in 2000; were now ahead by 15,000. Were also ahead by a couple of hundred votes in New Hampshire and the worst parts of that state (for us) have already been counted. So were confident about both states.
