I'm here ...
If Bush shut down the border and cut off illegals he would be ahead 60+% right now, IMHO.
If the AOL member "exit poll" is a safe, bipartisan indication, things are looking pretty good so far.
WOLF BLITZER just said they will WAIT until the panhandle polls close before projecting results.
I agree, but then I didn't think Clinton could get re-elected either.
Hey, I voted for those exact three guys earlier today! So did mom, dad, and sister :-)
thanks for the cite
Exactly what is an exit poll, Howlin?
I understand. Prayerfully we won't have to ever go through that nightmare again.
Thank you (and you buds) for your service!
Dianna, I hope you're right.
Let us keep the faith.
I dont believe those polls at all.
For one thing dems are already decided.
Repubs sometimes don't say...I would say the so called undecideds are going Bush....
That's just icky. Clever, but icky.
Bush up early in New Hampshire 61% to 31% 1% precincts reporting.
ZOT!!!!
steve, can you tell me which states I REALLY need to be watching???
Talked with my source, who had seen early exits before announced publicly, he said nothing at all looked good - but then ended our conversation with a comment - despite that, "I still think Bush is going to win this thing." Told me not to worry.
Turnout was the heaviest I've seen it in five Presidential elections, by far. I waited an hour and twenty-five minutes to vote here in central South Carolina, and apparently that wasn't unusual. My particular precinct is an odd mixture of heavily Republican upper-middle-class suburbs, largely black low-income apartments, trailer parks, and rural areas, so you can imagine the very wide cross-section of folks that were in line--all races, all ages. Everybody was polite and friendly, and nobody spoke a word about who or what they were supporting.
South Carolina will roll big for Bush, and I feel fairly confident about Jim Demint winning the Senate seat and finally putting Senator Foghorn Hollings (D-Disney) out to pasture!
