Excuse my ignorance, just got up, but what is the holdup with NM and Iowa? Gee, there aren't even that many people there.

NM is easy... vote fraud. They have been trying to mfg votes all night. Some of us have some great screenshots.

Iowa machines broke down, vote counters got exhausted, etc (dem gov, I believe).

I am not sure if anyone answered this as I am plodding my way through a couple hours of posts, but here in MO, the Election Judge is supposed to send the person to thier correct polling place but if voter refuses, they can fill out a provisional ballot.

"Yeah, but Republicans have class. Kerry's just crass."

Hey, be fair. Kerry's got class. Mostly lower.

"How can some of these states not have been called yet?"

Why does the MSM have to "call" a state to make it legitimately Bush or Kerry? The numbers they are throwing up there should be enough to convince everyone who won what state.

Is this just media arrogance or have we forfeited that right to them?

I KNEW Dubya was going to win this thing when Missouri was called. MO has a voted for every winner except ONE since its statehood! 1954 (I think) Adlai Stevenson.

As I am a Brit could you explain " why it is important for a news organisation to call a vote".

Surely they can't be allowed to have any say in what happens. Tks

The optimist in me says the MSM should have a place in society to help inform the masses, as it was in the past.

Here, we're giving the MSM one last chance to redeem themselves by waiting for them to just call the election already, and they're not biting.

This election goes a great distance to show everyone just how irrelevant they are becoming by refusing to acknowledge the win and then let Kerry fight it out afterwards without the MSM's help.

Actually, Bush has won. Fox is giving Ohio to Bush. That means he only needs one of the 3 outstanding states (NM, IA, NV). All of the other media has given NV to Bush, but will not give OH. Now, is that silly?

Different media outlets have different strategies about how they are not going to post a number over 269 EVs for President Bush. Some are calling Ohio too close to call. Others have put a freeze on all other states. I don't think anybody has shown more than 269 for the President yet, have they?

the longer the Dems can keep this in fron of the media, the more the public will believe their cause, even if they aren't going to win

You are exactly right. We've seen the Dems do this time and time again - it's their mantra, repeat a lie often enough and eventually it will be believed.

Nope, despite OH showing 136k for Bush, 100% reporting, NM showing 12k for Bush, 99% reporting, IA showing 16k for Bush, 99% reporting.

As much as it irks me --I understand what the Bush camp is doing. Dubya is being a gentleman, and is waiting for his opponent to realize the obvious.

HOWEVER, the longer Kerry drags his feet, I think it becomes more likely that AS SOON as Iowa, NEvada or New Mexico says Bush has one --BUSH will be out and claim victory.

I want him to claim it now, but I understand the type of man DUBYA is and why he is waiting.

of course - I am not the president -- I don't have to wait!!! SO: KERRY - YOU LOST!!! PUT SOME ICE ON IT!!! NEENER NEENER NEENER!!!
