Interesting -- in conformation class in the 1972 we talked about sex and witchcraft and the churches liturgical calendar. Missouri synod

Acually what caught my eye last year was "Meno Simons" There was actually three horsemen in the reformation Martin Luther which named a denomination after himself Joohn calvin which named a denomination after himself (Calvinists) and Meno Simons that named a deniomination after himself (Mennonites)

All three were roman catholic priests all three were in corespondence with each other. Of the three meno simons was by far the most influential -- he wrote over 500 books that exist to this day on the articles of the faith on the churh service on church government etc. Meno is the father of fundamentalism evangleicalism and pentecostalism.

His doctrines have changed many other denominations including the Roman Catholic Church and Lutherans

The Chruch of this hour has more in common with Luther calvin and meno simons than Jesus and the apostles

How so? We have enshrined in our doctrines the writings of these men especially meno simons.

That was an absolute stunner to me to explain it better its like microsoft windows 3.0 is windows 3.1 is windows 95 is windows 98 is windows 2000 (I have a degree in computing) In every operating system they did not write the code over from scratch they just wrote over the area's the wanted updated. So the denominations have not rewritten the doctrine written by meno in the 1500's everything is based off his code or adopting segements of code from him.

This has helped explain a lot to me about where we are, and why its so different than what we read in the new testament.

why? It is part of the thread because I was a Lutheran and that is was i was taught in catacism class in St. Johns lutherna church in Mamaroneck, New York The pastor that was there at that time was pastor Henry. He was very liberal.

The article is about comments for a Lutheran Pastor and probably the speech he was refering to in a Lutheran an seminary. What they taught in our confirmation class was from a man that was a recent graduate out of seminary. Early 1970's

We also had a professing white witch in our Church at the time she professed it in sunday school class and was allowed to teach our confirmation class -- she lauded ritualistic sex rites in my classes

The liberal Church board discussed her and her words, she was not kicked out of the congregation or as far as i know was even repremanded -- how do I know my best friend in those days was her son I was over at their house often enough also.

I am pure blooded German most of my family is Lutheran most of my family was over in Germany for crystal naacht. I have a lot of feelings about these matters.
