As a kid in a neighborhood where most of the girls were Eileen, Maureen, Joan or Anne - I would have preferred being named after the actress, rather than the character.

"TK-421, why aren't you at your post?"
"Stay on target, stay on target...."
That's what my husband is thinking when he sees me here doing this and I have other things I should be doing!

I have a pair of Birkenstocks and I wear them! And I often buy organic food.

What was worse, I saw Neil Sedaka with my mom when I was in my 30's and she sang through the whole dang concert. I could hear people complaining they couldn't hear cus she was singing. I was SO embarrassed.

I shall work out a suitable penance. Stay tuned...

I am finishing my house in the next few weeks.
NO carpet anywhere....lots of ceramic tile and hard surfaces. No way can you have a pet and wall to wall carpet (I learned the hard way :))

I wish I had come to my senses when I was 16. Sadly, I was 26 when I saw the light.

Thanks for the link. I used to wear earth shoes and I loved them. I did get my toe caught a lot though. :)

I'm the only human in my age group (40+) who's never seen the Exorcist. Either one.
No you're not. I've never seen the Exorcist and didn't know additional ones existed. Never saw Gandhi, Titanic, or any movie that has won an Oscar for Best Picture, and I never miss an episode of Star Trek Enterprise.
I cry in Hallmark stores. Every time I go to the library or a book store, I have to go to the bathroom. Every cabinet door in my house MUST be kept closed. The loose end of toilet paper MUST be hanging over the top.
I taught my five year-old to say, "Yip, yip, yip, yip, yahoo," and make her listen to Rush Limbaugh on the way to preschool.
I own five dogs and tell each one of them that they are "mama's favorite." So far, they haven't caught on. Thank God. They are all my favorite.

That's funny! I use that 'stay on target' line too, but I usually say it to myself under my breath. :D

You must use a large glass! (A "fifth" is a 750ml bottle, or 4/5 of a quart) Thanks for the math lesson. :~D
Now here is one for you! A "fifth" (4/5 of a quart) is 25.6 ounces. Therefore if I get 5 drinks out of a fifth, each drink is approx 5.12 ounces. The average orange juice glass is 8 ounces. So......
When you look at it this way, then no, my glass isn't all that large!
Another way to look at it is, if you go to a bar and order a double straight up you get a glass of anywhere between 3 and 4 ounces. So.... my drinks are a double and a half!
Hic! Now if you excuse me, a hear a bottle of Chivas calling me!
