Gee, I wonder why the State Department, which is fully infested with socialists, Clintonistas, and all other manner of Bush-hating, scumbag liberals, would want to stop the airing of the bin Laden tape? It's a real head-scratcher....
the other thing OBL did today - no matter who is elected president Tuesday, the other side will cite the OBL video as the reason why. if Bush wins, the left will claim the OBL video tipped it to him, listen to walter cronkite on larry king tonight saying Rove setup this video release. if Kerry wins, our side will claim that the OBL video reminded voters that Bush has failed to get him.
If you look at the RAT operatives on tv, they're all in frenzy to deny this tape helps Bush. God forbid anyone think Kerry is weak on protecting this country, although polls have him losing by double digits when this question is asked. So Kerry's surrogates are desperately trying to make Kerry, despite his record, look like George S. Patton. The phony explosives scandal has been thrown overboard since Karl Rove outsmarted them again, and their own polling data suggests bin Laden just nailed Kerry's hide to the wall. It should be pretty funny watching Kerry over the weekend. Maybe Dukakis's tank photo isn't such a loser idea after all. Hmmm.
I agree with part A, but not necessarily with part B.
LOL, great line!
And I agree with you 100%. Bin Laden has been a maggot-infested corpse at Tora Bora since December 2001. It astounds me that Al Jazeera's sources keep going to the archives for this crap and Al-Jazeera airs it with a straight face.
Regards,
LH
One thing I just remembered - - didn't bin Laden mention Kerry?
I look for most undecideds and even a few Kerry backers to vote for Bush as a result of this tape.
There are certain elements at State (both sections) who want more than that, they want the Islamicists to be victorious!!

Don't know. All of the clips I've heardwere partials, I think. I also think I also heard that Michael Moore was quoted from his 911 propaganda movie. But, until I see a clear, unaltered video with visible, dated material in it, and his lips moving while he's talking, its just so much disinformation to me.
Ever notice how bad all these videos are? With all the cheaply available technology floating around out there, you'd think they'd be able to produce something that didn't need a team of CIA analysts and video and voice experts to verify.
I've seen cell phones that can take better quality video than the crap that keeps popping up on All-Jizeera. I think this is by design to hide bad dubbing.
While everyone with a modicum of sanity is concerned with a possible terrorist strike, or strikes, to influence the election, timing would play an important role in the success, or failure of such.
When the terrorists did the bombings in Spain, they were timed in such a way as to actually influence the vote, at least two business days prior to the election. For them to try to do the same here, would mean that the best opportunity would have been Friday, and no attack came, just this rambling threat.
While we cannot rule out a strike on Monday absolutely, it would be of less impact, as there would not be sufficient time for the press, which the terrorists would rely on, to do their "spin magic" to make the results the terrorists would desire. An attack this weekend would have similar problems, but would be more likely than Monday. Tuesday would be a non-starter (for the purpose of "influencing" the election, but not necessarily for "stopping" the election, so what IS their strategy at this point, anyways?)
So, for the purpose of "influencing" the election, the best window has come and gone. Are we out of the woods, yet? No, but that means that the strategy they're using isn't to "influence" the election, but to halt it outright...

The problem is that both of the Blockbusters I frequent have only one copy, while they have a full five shelves dedicated to Moore Propaganda.
In any case I baought two copies from overstock.com and sent one to my daughter in Bahgdad.
Not everyone in the State Department is a political appointee, either, and cannot just be summarily fired with a change in administrations. The greatest amount of damage to our (as in "We the people") interests, done by the State Department has been done over the course of many decades, through many administrations, by career employees of the State Department, whom are largely pro-Soviet (when it existed), and very pro-Arab as well.
These people are extremely difficult to root out, and the damage they have done has been tremendous (for example, the "fast track" visa system for Saudi nationals wasn't a brainchild of the Clinton administration, but was developed over decades by career State employees, the roots of which I saw in 1980, a full decade before Clinton was elected...)

Yep. This has always bothered me, also. There is NO valid explanation for why there has never been a clear video of bin Laden's face talking straight and close-up into the camera.
He's long dead.
Yeah, same deal here at my local blkbstr, but atleast they had it, I was stunned.
I extend thanks to your daughter in Iraq for her service to our country, and to you and your family. Best wishes.
Thanks. Just heard from her this weekend. Her unit is moving out to support the Marines at Falluja. She's spent the year telling me how bored she has been sitting around Camp Victory (which was fine by me). I fear her boredom is about to end.
I just hope that this time we don't pull our punches and turn that vipers nest into a smoking hole in the ground once and for all.
