the fact that the tape specifically mentions GWB being the cause of their intent to attack clearly shows me it is being used SOLELY to sway voters and not necesarily to propel their religious agenda.
I don't minimize the threat one iota but I do see this for what it is.
What's worse was that it was a Beta Tape. The authentication took this long due to lag time in finding and old Beta machine to play it in.

The debate may not be over. The (US intelligence) officials say a source with access to the tape, apparently impatient with ABC, has offered it to another broadcast news organization, which has called the government for guidance.

The MSM wants to dot all the I's and cross the T's on news reports favoring the President.....but will run stories based on forged documents, if they will hurt him.
My opinion as well. But, we know it is out there. At the very least, to prevent rumors out the yahzoo, I hope we get a summary of the details.
I really feel that if this election wasn't so close, we wouldn't be talking about a terror threat during/around/immediately after the election. And right now, I blame the dems and John Kerry for dividing this country by being so negative sayiing "wrong war, wrong time...." divide and conquer strategy, and sending the message to the terrorists that we are willing to cave in to these threats. OTOH, we ain't in Spain. It won't work.

Unless the source offers it to Fax, it will never see the light of day. Which brings up an obvious question. If this was a legit tape and a real threat, why would the terrorists "shop" it to the media? Why not just send copies to every TV and radio and newspaper around to get their message out? Pretty stupid terrorists. The whole thing is getting more suspicious by the minute. I smell a big fat demo-rat here.
Well ABC is probably considering this a one hour political commercial for the President. They will most definitely offer Kerry an hour of free time as balance.
I know it could be percieved as tinfoil material, but, based on campaign donation information publicly available; you have to wonder how much the democratic party is in cohoots directly with islamic terrorists, as well as their "front" organizations. (i.e. Cynthia McKinney, along with a host of others)
