RON REAGAN: Why is Lynne Cheney so ashamed of her gay daughter?
Scarborough Country ^ | Oct. 13, 2004 | Ronnie Reagan

Ron Reagan: Why is Lynne Cheney so ashamed of her gay daughter—and shame on the conservatives and shame on Scarborough for trying to spin this against the Democrats because she is a gay woman and there‘s nothing wrong with that. Being a gay person, being a lesbian, is not a pejorative and there was nothing wrong with Kerry saying that. Maybe Lynne Cheney is a bad parent.

The after hours segment on PMSNBC with Kathy Griffin was a hoot! Why do these people go absolutely apoplectic when the gay issue is not just accepted by straights, but has to be validated, celebrated, and worshiped as in "Queer Eye..." type entertainment programming and the "metro-sexual" culture.

What is the insecurity in the gay culture that demands outside recognition beyond acceptance?

Is it underlying guilt or shame? I really don't get it. The "in your face" attitude of "we're here, we're queer..", etc. OK, fine. You're here and queer. Can we go on with our lives now?

MSNBC should get rid of that ballerina gaylord. President Reagan was proud of his adopted son Michael Reagan because he was truly a man who honored the Reagan name. Faggy Ronnie is a shame to the Reagan name. He should change his name to Ron Davis instead like the lunatic Patti Davis did. MSNBC only employed this creep because he is the son of the late President because Ronnie-drama queen has no talent

Oh? The public won't see this as an attack? Then why is Kerry trying to weasel out of it this morning in his newly issued statement?

He disrespected her by not respecting her right to privacy. He disrespected her by using her as a political tool. He disrespected her by presuming to speak on her behalf.

If you don't understand that, too bad. The majority of Americans heard it loud and clear.

If John Kerry didn't think that mentioning Dick Cheney's gay daughter was a political attack, he wouldn't have said anything at all. Kerry could used any other politician or personality who openly asserts his or her homosexuality to further gay rights, not someone who is quietly, but not secretly, gay.

How would Kerry have liked it, if Bush had said that he knows that Kerry loves his daughter despite her tendency toward exhibitionism that was photographed at the Cannes film festival?

"Hey I thought Chris Farley died".

Now that is funny! My view is that the Dims made a big, big deal of John Edwards' looks … great hair! … great smile! … so handsome! Well, if they are going to make a big deal out of his looks, and they are going to put her front and center, then why aren't her looks fair game?

True. And why was Griffin so supportive of Kerry in light of the fact that he opposes gay marriage? A cup of hypocrisy, anyone?

Go put on a tutu and do some ballet.

You should be a writer for SNL! IN the new SNL season, Ron Reagan Jr. in a tutu, has replaced President Reagan in their cartoon ""Ex-Presidents Super Heroes".

I hope you are right but I fear you are not. If we left it alone, Kerry looks bad. The bigger deal we make over it, the better chance we have that it will backfire in our faces.

Guys, I think MSNBC has that wrong. I was watching this last night and it was Kathy Griffin who made those remarks, not Ron Reagan. As much as I hate that little snip, it wasn't him.

Uh, he didn't get the memo. Kerry is backtracking. Kerry just had his Kitty Dukakis moment. Here's my answer to Ronnie.

When Edwards made the comment, Cheney ignored it because he didn't want his daughter used. There was outrage the next day, and the media chose to ignore it. After several days, some were willing to give Edwards the benefit of the doubt.

Last night Kerry did it, and Cahill claimed open season on children of politicians. This was a thinly disguised attack by the "tolerant" label-hating party. If Kerry planned to make his point, he could easily have invoked James McGreevey's or Barney Frank's name - two out a public Democratic homosexuals, but he deliberately refrained from mentioning McGreevey at all - even when describing "gay man married to a supportive woman".

MENTIONING A DEM POL WHO PAYS HIS BOYFRIEND WITH PUBLIC NATIONAL SECURITY FUNDS? BAD; MENTIONING THE DAUGHTER OF A POLITICIAN FROM THE OTHER PARTY? GOOD.

Now I understand why the Illinois media and Democrats are baiting Alan Keyes with his 19-year-old lesbian daughter.

Let's delve into Vanessa Kerry's sex life and juxtapose that with Kerry's health care/AIDS policies - same standard according to Cahill's spin on "fair game".

Liz is married with several children. I never heard that she was gay. Her sister Mary is.

I thought about this awhile, and as a father, I think what's most galling about Kerry's tactic last night was that he was asserting that he cares more about Mary Cheney than the President does. Then Lizzie Edwards (wife of tent show evangelist John "JK will cure the lame" Edwards) essentially does the same thing, implying that she is more tolerant of lesbianism than the Cheney's are. As for Ron, remember how pissed he was when President Bush dared to cite Ronaldus Maximus in some of his speeches.

Kerry standing there last night, tongue darting in and out in fine reptilian form, dryly salivating in the dehydrated way only he can do, barely able to contain himself until he could mouth the word, L-E-S-B-I-A-N, with all the sexual innuendo the word could conjure up in the minds of the self-righteous Christian rightist base belonging to George Bush; soon, they would ALL be humiliated, and as the word passed from his cold heart to his chapped lips, he thought how good it would be to detract from the discussion of how George Bush gave him a good old fashioned WHOOPIN' in the debate . . . but, never fear, FREEPERS ARE TRULY ELEPHANTS AT HEART!! We don't forget.

She's not. The Cheney's are angry because Kerry was trying to use their daughter as a wedge between President Bush and his base. And besides, how their daughter runs her life is nobody else's F'ing business.
