I am working, praying, donating, and talking up W as much as I can. I don't give a flying fig about what DU says.
However, DOES IT NOT OCCUR TO YOU THAT THE MEDIA AND KERRY'S STAFF READ THESE THREADS??? THAT IS WHAT I AM CONCERNED ABOUT!
Handwringing on this thread or others is picked up by the media, democrat operatives, and weak-kneed rinos. I do not want to give these people ammunition.
We are not here to post every little thought that comes into our heads. This is not a self-help group, nor is it an avenue to vent emotions.
I am very serious about wanting the President elected, and whining does not contribute to the cause. If you are upset about something, send me a private freepmail. Don't give the Rats ammunition.
To: Soul Seeker
seems that interest in the debates has waned substantially since the 1st one.
Boy was the first thread choked with traffic.

Be of good cheer. Remember, John Howard won the election in Australia with an even bigger margin than the previous, and he 'lost' the debate with his opponent, Latham. Good advice. That election killed my socialist uncle living in Australia.

I made phone calls for President Bush today. I spoke with lots of angry dems and a couple reps who hated the President. If a dem for kerry called me I would be respectful and tell him why I dont like kerry but I would not be a horses rear. I got more people just hanging up then anything else.

Complacency?? I am not so sure, how do you prepare for a debate when you opponent never sticks to one idea? Until Kerry was there on the debate floor, Bush did not know what position he would take. To me that would be impossible to prepare for. So between first debate nerves and too many positions to prepare for..... Bush was well prepared for the second debate however. Same opponent, same old flip-flip Kerry, but he had possible answers at the ready and did a fine job.

That's just wrong. The Bush campaign has said for months and months this race was going to be close. Complacency is the last thing I would accuse the President of.Well I like to think that President Bush didn't debate well the first time because he didn't put enough effort into preparing or because he didn't rest up before the debate. I do hate to think that he was just flustered and couldn't come up with good responses to Kerry's attacks.

I think that attacking another Freeper with a simple difference of opinion would cause more of a stir than anything I might say inferring the president is not doing as well as he should be in a debate. Are we really THAT important to think that anything we say is going to give the Kerry campaign ammunition????? their minds are already made up, as it is for the MSM. Just exactly what ammunition am I going to give them? "A freeper says Bush lost the debate!! It's all over for Bush!!"
And last I knew, this forum is all about free speech, not about blind adoration of a president that's not perfect!
