This could backfire as an accusation. Imagine how much better off we'd be if we could get the whole Congress to take a couple of years off and not pass any new laws at all.

"Why would a BILLIONAIRE gigolo continue to draw the Senate salary he is not earning?"
For prestige, power and that subtle "je ne sais qua."

My statement is correct in #22 above, (that Kerry and Edwards' last vote together was a photo op) but the date is my typing error. The votes were on June 22nd, the day the class photo was taken of the senate.
(Moderator: Is it possible to change the date in the previous post?)

Let me write this quietly so no one but the two of us can read it....YOU'RE BETTER OFF WITHOUT HIS REPRESENTATION!!!!! Just like we'd all be better off without him as Vice President.

They voted against the ban on partial birth abortion; then Kerry lied about the law in the debate, claiming it did not have an exception for the life of the mother.

According to the Senate records at the Senate Roll Call website, Kerry has missed 194 of 211 floor votes during the current session of Congress. 92% absentee record.
Details...
- He has missed the last 76 floor votes. His last appearance to vote was on 22 June 2004. He showed up for three votes that day.
- Going back another 70 votes, he showed up on 25 March 2004 to vote no on the "Lacy and Conner Law", the Unborn Victims of Violence Act of 2004 (gotta keep NARAL satisfied). He stuck around for one other vote that day.
- His 12 other votes this session came on 02 and 10 March 2004.
So he showed up for work on 4 days this year. Some work ethic.

Yes he is, we call him AWOL, of course his excuse given to us by the media is he has been campaigning, however this is typical. The only time he votes is against weapons and funding for military! In years, not just since the campaign.

Based on a review of the votes per the senate.gov site, the last time Senators Kerry and Edwards voted on the same items was June 22, 2004 on votes #133, 134 and 135.
Why those items or that date, you ask?
Because they had to be there that day for the class picture! (See Cheney comments to Leahy for a reminder.)
In short . . .
The last time Senators Kerry and Edwards were together on the Senate floor (i.e. doing what they are paid and elected to do), it was for a photo op!!!!!!

"So he showed up for work on 4 days this year. Some work ethic."
Even more pathetic...he missed the speech from the Iraqi Prime Minister, then hid in the weeds, raised his reptilian head and proceeded to denigrate the man.
That's far worse than a 92% absentee rate, if anything COULD be worse.
