I know many former Bush voters who will vote for Kerry but no Gore voters who will now vote for Bush

Ever heard of Ed Koch, Zell Miller, Ron Silver? Wonder why Bush is up in some Gore states? Care to troll further?

Part of future Sen. John Blutarski's speech in Animal House:

"Over? Did you say, 'over?' Nothing is over until WE decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!"

Boone: "Germans?"

Otter: "Forget it. He's rolling."

There are plenty of us out here kickin' ass and takin' names. I fight EVIL Rats everyday! I raise money for the fight, write letters and emails, show up at town meetings, and spread the truth with every breath. I KNOW that I am not alone!

These doom and gloom people on this board fit well with Kerry's outlook on life. Hell, they sound just like him!!!

Please, lets all work to see that every polling place in every "important" state is watched from start to finish. We can not trust the GOTV effort of the GOP to do it without question. I know that their focus is on turnout. Here in very important SD poll watchers are not expected to stay to the close. A couple hrs. short of closing is "OK" so they can go make calls. I say someone should be there at all times.
Further, be there when the ballots are counted. Be careful doing it too. There are cases where the dems here have actually blocked entrances and when they were made to allow people to pass they slapped campaign stickers on their clothing and then the police would escort them away and deny them access. This may have been the case with Daschle's first election but I'm not sure on that point. It was a while ago. But these are the kind of tactics that will be used against us as sure as there is a God.

"Heard of" doesn't mean I know these guys. Bush hasn't played well here (in a generally GOP leaning county) in NM. Perhaps other places are different.

I don't see how Kerry can correct the shortcomings that people see in Bush though. I think there's just a bunch of "punish Bush" voters around.

Of course back in March Bush was way ahead of Kerry. I am a little puzzled over your comments on the economy, with the unemployment rate at 5.4%, about the same as it was just before Clinton got elected for a second term.

Most folks are saying Bush has to win Florida and Ohio to win this election. Election night however I will be watching the early voting states of New Hampshire and West Virginia. If Bush takes those two states he will probably win. If he just takes one of them it is going to be close. My own back-of-the-evelope calculation on the electoral college vote has Bush and Kerry tied with 269 each. This assumes Bush loses New Hampshire and Nevada, and wins the remaining states he won in 2000. The same result would occur if Bush lost both New Hampshire and West Virginia, and held Nevada.

I actually had the dishonor to work for ACORN years and years ago as a stupid young man. They were scumbags and I knew it but I thought I needed to work for them for the money. Pathetic thing is is that the Catholic Church's Campaign for Human Development (which is kind of leftist itself), actually funds these dirtballs or at least it has in the recent past. Maybe folks ought to talk to their local bishops about this connection.

Yeah, but hopefully not enough to elect Kerry. Bush is not perfect but he deserves credit for "righting the ship" in the aftermath of 9/11. Some people want to blame him for everything and the Dems have played into that sentiment.

Oh my. I'm so glad you were there and found your way out of the tunnel. People such as you KNOW the other side so much better than most on this site. Thanks for sharing that tidbit.

Just curious if you thought the majority of people helping ACORN could articulate the reason for their leftist support or was it for the money? I find most leftist, cannot articulate the reason for their support of D's, except to say why they're not R's... mostly having to do with the Rich/Poor way the Dem's depict us.

You are absolutely right, we've ALL got to get out to vote and make it a LANDSLIDE for Bush! Don't stay home and let a bunch of semiliterate rappers, Hollyweirdos, and other assorted nuts and clueless twits (living, dead or here illegally) select your President!

The two people "in management" that I met in it were just nearly communists/opportunist. They were scum. They were simply fleecing folk of money I can't remember just how. They had us going around canvassing on this trumped up issue of violence against women and setting up community mtgs. Exploitation of the poor is what it was right here in Sioux Falls.

You gave some excellent advice in post #66. You're a smart dude and it probably has some to do with working for ACORN. You're a wealth of knowledge. I believe that we have a right to be there when votes are counted as long as we follow the proper procedure.

Never thought that scums would plaster a campaign sticker on someone. How clever.

=======
I think this is why Dems want to keep "their people" fat, dumb and ignorant so the can continue to feed them BS about the "white man" abusing them.

Thanks for the compliment.

"Never thought that scums would plaster a campaign sticker on someone. How clever."

Yes it is clever and we should be networking so the young people are "clued in" by the older as to what can be expected. I think there needs to be some serious training sessions produced with THOUSANDS OF CONCERNED CITIZENS in the key states taught how to safeguard our election. What Gore did will have profound effects. What a shame we can't have a clean election because Gore and the lying media tried to steal the last pres. election with the early Fl. call.

You've learned a lot about elections. I nominate you to teach us all. Now to train Republicans to be vigilant. Only problem I found is that Republicans tend to have jobs on Tuesdays and so we don't have the numbers to help out. However, perhaps there are enough retired people and housewives out there willing to help our country out for one day.

I'll sign up as your first pupil :-)

BTW, do you read David Horowitz writings?

Also NV and NH are also concerns.

I would be shocked (shocked!) if Nevada went for Kerry. I just don't see it. That state gets more Republican/Libertarian every year. They used to be a Democrat state several years back, but they were Dixie Democrats, and not even really that.
