"Strom Thurmond had a better attendance record in the senate his final term, and he was dead!" LOL! The sad part is, it's probably true.

Sounds like a good one. Missed it--our TV blew up the other day.

Dittos on that ... Bush made a FUNNY comment about timber company and they made it into some thing stupid and unfunny.

One thing was made painfully clear by the VP debate. edwards has no business running for VP. He was little more than a guppy swimming between two sharks on that stage.

On MRC.ORG they had a breakown on the debate questions. I got my e-mail today it was one sided. I do not remeber the breakdown you will have to go to their sight.

"...Edwards' eye-blinking like a teen-age girl with a new set of contacts"
Now that's funny!
To: elephantman96
The best comical reference of John Edwards at the debate was "an ankle-biter". I didn't see this SNL episode, but a portrayal of the puppy-metaphor would be classic.

Turned SNL off right after the anti-Bush/pro-Kerry sketch.

George Bush beat Michael Dukakis in 1988. On the SNL right after the election John Lovitz played Dukakis being interviewed. He was asked, "If you had won what would you have really done with taxes?"
John Lovitz, "I would have raised them THROUGH THE ROOF!!!". Was pretty funny back then
Saturday Night Live - Presidential Bash 2000
... Lovitz does Dukakis, and comes clean at the party, admitting that he lost because
'Reaganomics works,' and that he was going to raise taxes 'through the roof!' ...

So did ours. Right in the middle of the Cheney/Edwards debate. Bummer. Looking at flat screen replacement but confused between which kind to get. Plasma or LCD.

Personally I would rather not get a replacement but husband is pouting big time so we may have to break down and get one soon. Some of the new ones sure are expensive. That stinks about it happening right in the middle of the debate. Maybe your TV couldn't handle all that Edwards' phoniness. I think it was cartoons that did ours in.

It makes a popping sound and then the screen goes black. So sad. Cheney was on a roll when it happened.

I got mad at the opening and turned it off. They made Bush look weak and anxious... that really pissed me off and typifies what the liberals think of a true leader. Liberals are all about surface complexity; they can't handle a billeted list of ideas because organization to a liberal is too pedestrian....
Watching a liberal is like watching a turkey fascinated by the rain, lost in the patterns unable to concentrate on the substance... it is water you frickin' turkey!!!
