It was like watching a great fighter throw a fight .He let Kerry body punch him and he didnt even return fire .I was walking around the room with my hands on my head pacing up and down at points. Kerry says we need world approval . Why didnt Bush simply say we had all the allies we needed in Afganistan and Kerry STILL..STILL voted it down ! We need alllies ..then he say's we need bilateral discussions with Korea..I cant even take thinking of it to be honest .Talk about taking a dive. Bush looked like he couldn't wait to get out of there an go to bed.

"It's really quite breathtaking that any criticism of the president on this thread is met with vitriol and claims of troll, sleeper troll, etc. I guess free thinking and honest criticism aren't really welcome here. I deeply hope George W, Bush is re-elected. I have given time, money and effort to that end. Pretending that he can't improve his performance actually does him a disservice."

I agree that he needs to improve his performance. I have to cut him a little slack in one regard though, it must be tough as hell to have to stand up there and defend what you are doing against attacks by someone who has not put forth any plan of his own, other than to say "go to my website."

It must also be pure hell to have this idiot constantly saying he would do this differently, or that differently, in an effort to find something, anything, that might resonate with the public.

And let me add one point to your post,

FOCUS ON WHAT KERRY SAID! If fussing is still taking place about performance on Monday when Kerry just went off the deep end, It's not Bush that is going to deserve heat. It's going to be people that say they want to win, but cannot get over the fact G.W. didn't stand straight while kerry said we have to have a "Global test" before reacting!

Please try to calm down a little. I hope you are aware that when you use a computer to converse emotions run much higher and seem much more harsh, mean, hysterical or whatever. In person you would naturally be more calm and thoughtful as not to frighten the person you are talking with, but just typing on a website gives you a false sense of indifference and you forget that maybe thousands of people read your comments. I learned a long time ago the hard way that emotions are amplified over computers

The Kerry "comeback" is scripted in Manhattan bistros.

The MSM "elites" (Eff em) don't understand that the world has evolved and they are left to their "Al and Judy" cocktail parties where they'd love to be sprightly but they only know they are 60 years old and haven't coaxed a BM since March.

...I honestly wonder if they are even worthy of response.

Thank you for making my point.

I'm still hoping something will happen to prevent a Kerry victory, but this set back has really discouraged me.

FGS, snap out of it.

Go read THIS THREAD:

Flashback: Freepers Evaluate Bush vs Gore Debate

Everybody thought Bush had lost THAT election, too. Lots of hand wringers, then, too.

And just in case nobody has pointed this out to you, according to Fox News, "winnes" of the previous "first" debates:

Ross Perot.

Al Gore.

Walter Mondale.

Michael Dukakis.

Jimmy Carter.

BUCK UP!

There is a BIG problem with the Newsweek poll:

"Interviewing dates: September 30-October 2, 2004 (interviewing on 9/30 limited to the Pacific and Mountain time zones after the presidential debate concluded)" http://snipurl.com/9i1c

What? So not only was September 30th restricted to the time AFTER the debate, but the Central and Eastern time zones were ignored!

When I went to the Newsweek site http://snipurl.com/9i27 it showed that the story had already been UPDATED as of 6PM Eastern, so the evening of October 2nd was ignored, and probably the afternoon too.

This means that the Newsweek survey was conducted over a period of time that was LESS THAN 48 hours in length! Maybe even much less, because Thursday evening to Saturday morning would be about 36 hours! Saturday morning as the end time is very possible because it takes time to tabulate the results, get the results to Newsweek, and then for Newsweek to post the results on its site. Of course, it must also be kept in mind that the survey was conducted at the height of the MSM's flogging of Kerry's "comeback".

It looks like a rush job done so that it would also appear in the next print edition of Newsweek on Monday.

Uh-huh. Nice trick. Your statement...

I guess free thinking and honest criticism aren't really welcome here.

My full statement...

When I see statements like that, I honestly wonder if they are even worthy of response. It implies that anyone not in agreement with you, isn't honest nor independent.

You can take half a sentence and run with it, but it doesn't prove your point when read in context. You attempted to state critisisms were not welcome, dismissed as either trolls or sleepers. You used this false statement to venture forth the idea honesty and independent thought are not welcome about the President.

Truth is that critiques have been made and not everyone has been labeled a Troll or Sleeper. But it is undeniable they do exist in this thread, and they have been noted.

Yes , I'm aware of that ..I too found out through emeails with a young lady one time . That being said , perhaps I'm selfishly using this form to vent my frustrations. I live in the NY metro area and Im in the minority here to say the least and have been at a loss as to what to say to the gloating masses around me. I watched the debate on tape again today and for the life of me CANNOT understand what the bloody hell Bush was doing that night .I live in the "Bulls eye " here in NYC .This election may be a matter of life or death . If I didnt know better I'd say he took a dive .

You might be witnessing the biggest political choke in history....

You'd just love that, wouldn't you?

And don't bother giving me that "Nobody on this web site supports Bush more than I do" crap; buck up.
