I apologize, but has anyone thought this through?
I checked out this site you are talking about, votepair.org, and it can only help Kerry, because the people that will be honest about this system (the 3rd party wackos) will want Kerry more than Bush. Let's run through the scenarios:
First, let's assume you are dishonest and want to help Bush. And you live in a swing state. You SAY you are for Nader, and "trade your vote" with a 'rat in a safe state, like Utah (Bush safe) or California (Kerry safe). You still end up voting for Bush, even though you said you were voting for Kerry. BUT, you were already going to do that anyway! So that doesn't help Bush any more than if you hadn't traded your vote. Meanwhile, the 'rat, if he's honest, votes for Nader in the safe state, which doesn't change anything in the electoral college. So, no difference.

Likewise, if you're in a safe state and you say you're going to trade, but you really vote for Bush (just like you were going to anyway), that actually HURTS Bush, because if the person you traded with is honest, they would vote for Kerry in the swing state instead of Nader, because of your influence.

If you're honest with your vote trading, it helps Kerry in either situation (but if you were pro-Bush you obviously wouldn't be wanting to honestly participate in votepair.org anyway), as per the goals of the site.

The ONLY possible way this could help Bush, is if there was someone in a swing state that wanted to vote Nader (or another 3rd party), but their 2nd choice was Bush, found the site, and wanted to make sure Bush won but keep their Nader on the popular count. But, as we know, very few of those crazy 3rd party liberals want to vote for Bush as their 2nd choice anyway.

So the best we can hope for, is just vote for Bush and pray that this site doesn't make a huge difference.
