First, I want to say that I am new here. I have been reading this board for a little while, but I did have it confused with New republic, which is NOT a conservative site! Lucianne's site set me straight!. Now, I read this site regularly, and will post here as well.
As for women being selfless, WHEN was that, MAYBE 40 YEARS AGO? In my own life, I, as a male, have been the recipient of a LOT of women's "selfless" acts, like acting like they liked me, just to get another guy's attention, playing a joke on me, in "acting" like they like me, out of a dare, or pretending to be a friend, just to get help in college, and then, ignoring me, and threatening me, never to speak, look at, or even come near them, after they passed the class. I have always treated women with respect, My mother taught me that. I have not had that respect returned to me, very often. And, is it selfless, to think that you should"take credit for what other people do, to get ahead", as one woman recently recommended? my mother IS selfless, so are a few people her age. but, aside from a woman I knew 17 years ago, when I was 19, most of the women I have known personally since, have just USED me, for their own benefit. I am NOT the only guy who feels this way. It seems the women today only want the nasty, selfish, brutish guys, who do NOT treat women respectfully, they look at men like me, as "losers", nerds", freaks", and so on, because I am more interested in political matters than sports, because I want a real relationship, not a weekend, because I am pro-life, pro-family,pro-God, and so on.
Sorry to go on this way, but i just figured that after all of the women's perspective of mens faults,(and believe me, I KNOW men who fit the descriptions that have been stated, so I do feel for the women who have been hurt by them, BUT, WOMEN can and DO hurt MEN, ALSO) it was time for a man to speak up, and be counted. I am sure I will no longer be welcome here, neither.

Oh, my friend, you have most definitely been hurt by women -- very misguided little girls who are all about themselves first, last and always. Lots of them have been raised that way and it is on the increase these days, to be sure. But I guarantee you that they are in for a lifetime of heartache and unfulfillment when they continue to be baffled by their unhappiness.
Not all of us are like that, I promise you.
Some of us recognize that it is the "nerds" and "geeks" who end up being the Bill Gates! ;)
Seriously, though, I have more disagreements with women than men. They absolutely baffle me at times and I'm one of them!
Praying that you find peace -- and if you haven't found a wonderful gal yet, prayers for that too!

Because so many men are so busy being macho that they refus to embrace a woman's perspective on issues. Please define a "woman's perspective on issues." Seems to me there is one perspective on issues that is the right one, and lots of other perspectives which we call "wrong" ones...
Your post does bring up an interesting point, though. Men and women are different in the aggregate. Enter a discussion with a man about a problem, and most times the conversation is a nuts-and-bolts, problem-solving conversation. Do the same with a woman, and far more time is spent on the emotional and personal effect the problem has had on the woman, as opposed to just talking about what will fix the problem.
Now before the resident feminists get all fired up, note that I was careful to say "in the aggregate." I know many women who "think like men," in that they tend to be less interested in the emotional side of things. They tend to be the women who I am much closer friends with, in fact. But overall, I think my generalization is accurate.
However, on a public website like this, I don't think you have any right to expect others to discuss issues in your chosen fashion. The conservative movement of the Republican Party has always been a problem-solving movement (as opposed to liberalism, which focuses far more on feelings rather than outcomes). So you should not be surprised if the discussion here is more "male." Perhaps you should consider being more tolerant? (I couldn't resist...)

Deb, do you suppose that you can do me the favor of fwding Kitty Kelly's contact info? I'd like her to be the guest of honor. Her duties wil include igniting farts with kitchen matches (no bic lighters allowed) and measuring the length of blue flames erupting from Democrat Assholes. ((Republican men's asses are equipped with igniter and will not need her ASSistance.))
I'm open to suggestions on other guest of honor activities that might be bestowed upon Ms Kelly.

Same here buddy. I have to take a break from news/politics etc. once in a while for sanity control. I'm actually glad I don't have a PC at home; my lady would kill me. I'm a pain in the ass as it is. :)

as opposed to liberalism, which focuses far more on feelings rather than outcomesMotto of Liberals: "Thinking is overrated. I am able to FEEL!! Therefore I don't need to be able to think."
I seem to remember there was some some Hollywoodhead on a TV show a few years back who had just gotten his debate points totally demolished by a conservative guest, and his comeback was more or less, "I don't care about your facts. I know what I *FEEL* and I feel I'm right". Wish I had the exact quote.
