Given that you're NOT on site with the various
machinery and technology thangs, I'd say you
have done better than the paid experts.

may not ever get a perfect calm in the eye exact center. FULLY UNDERSTOOD!
Ok, which town reported a sudden decrease in wind velocity from 100 mph to around 10 mph?
And, who was the idiot meteorologist that went outside to take this measurement? LOL

I should have known that it was Jimmy's doings that caused the chaos. Now we seem to just deal with the aftermath and could care less of orderly preparations in a natural disaster.

From the Mobile radar...
Seems they eye is now almost completely ashore, the south edge at Gulf Shores, the north edge just a mile or two south of I-10; the west edge appears to be along the eastern shore of Mobile Bay, and the east edge is just a few miles from the AL-FL border...

Can anyone measure the difference in miles from my prediction (Gulf Breeze) and the actual land-fall of the hurricane eye?
I am curious as the the actual error percentage.

I wish this streaming audio I'm listening to wouldn't have such loud commericials in between these updates.
Gulf Breeze, FL, calling to say they are damaged but safe.

blah. see... that's why people should leave. you just don't know. I have only sat through one hurricane, and that was because I didn't know anything about hurricanes (and obviously still don't know a lot.) It was Bonnie. We had just been transferred and were house hunting. We were staying at the Hilton in Beaumont. It was a relatively small hurricane. It scared the snot out of me. No way would I stay for a MONSTER hurricane.

Oh yes, had to change my plans: it is anarchy there...
so bad that my daughter has decided to leave too!
I spent most of yesterday and this morning arranging
air fare for them... the Delta flight was cancelled
today without notice.. so I had to scramble to get
them booked (and paid for) on tomorrow's flight...
I am praying that flight is not cancelled.

Are Gulf Breeze and Gulf Shores towns or regions? If they are towns, I can provide the information.
