Does anyone know if Marty Heldt or Burkette have connections to the Kerry campaign? What I'm wanting to know is how likely it is that the Kerry campaign had anything to do with supplying the forged documents to CBS

I think that Tom Harkin and a few others in 2000 were involved in a publicity event with Burkett, or at least in pushing his story, so I'm sure he's made plenty of friends in the DNC since then (at least when he's not having a nervous breakdown).

And I'm wanting to know who fed the info to the Kerry campaign to feed to CBS.

This could have been a set-up job from within the Kerry camp against Kerry. Just look at the clinton group that is in there!

The name was changed since he was there. It was mentioned in an article by Zev Chafitz (sp?), in the NY Daily News I think.

Sometime soon a respected journalist from another network will tap Rather on the shoulder and say "Time to give it up, Dan."

Will he listen? Probably not.

Objection! That is merely conjecture...how in the world did she know what "accurately reflected the thoughts" of LTC Killian? She was the pool secretary who typed the memos for the entire office...thirty years ago. Most (good) secretaries type on automatic, not "reading" the documents as they type but merely typing the letters and words. This just screams agenda.

Is this the same woman? The fisrt link shows a campaign contribution of $5.00 (wow), the second is a description of the state legislator to whom the the donation was made. It turns out she is a Republican. Verification anyone?

Pass the Pepcid...even Juan finds it stunning Killian's secretary says the docs are frauds though she "remembers the sentiment"..(and even that is questionable because I read today she has made differing statements about ever hearing Bush discussed....

CBS is incredible to continue this.

Juan says "What about the missed physical!!...Patiently explained Bush was going to Alabama where he could not fly, therefore no physical..But what about the memo ordering him..Fraud document, Juan, and even wrong date...but then there has to be one in the records we don't have!..Sigh..
