But since the Borders Union page is mysteriously "broken" now, I thought others might like to read what we found on the page...

'Bought Tour Of Duty 1st Edition at Borders in North Glendale, CA last week. Since they had it, I threw in Hugh Hewitt's If It Isn't Close They Can't Cheat as well. Had very good discourse with the cashier too.

It was a very pleasent afternoon.

"I don't care if these Neandertals in fancy suits get mad at me, they aren't regular customers anyway. Other than "Left Behind" books, they don't read...."

Shows what they know. I only wear cheap suits.

You guys don't actually HAVE to sell the thing!

Just "carelessly" hide the boxes, "accidentally" drop them off pallets, "forget" to stock the ones you have, and then suggest a nice Al Franken or Micheal Moore book as a substitute. Borders wants those recommends, remember?

I don't care if these Neandertals in fancy suits get mad at me, they aren't regular customers anyway. Other than "Left Behind" books, they don't read. Anything you can do to make them feel unwelcome is only fair. They are the people pushing retailers to cut costs, don't forget. And they would censor your speech, your books, your music in a heartbeat, so give them a taste of it!

Don't get mad, get even!

Absolutely unbelievable

We have an epidemic of dishonest people everywhere, and this is but one of many issues which will lead to the demise of western civilization. It seems like the more liberals I encounter, the phrase "whatever it takes" has become their mantra.

hypocrisy : a feigning to be what one is not or to believe what one does not; esp: the false assumption of an appearance of virtue or religion.(from Webster's dictionary) Maybe we should post this at the Border's Union Forum.

Okay, does this sound like a description of the average Border's employee? I guess if some of them had been born in another country where they pay you to censor they could have had a great profession in censuring books. But alas, they were born in the USA so they're stuck just selling books and have to do their censoring on the sly.

Why do so many liberals today have this delusion they are open-minded and tolerant? It's just bizarre.

Since some of Border's union employee's seem to want to keep you from buying books of your own choice, here's an easy solution: BUY IT FROM AMAZON OR BARNES & NOBLE

www.amazon.com

www.bn.com

It might be cheaper there anyway and you wont be supporting people who want to determine what you choose to read.

If anyone has it on word or a pdf file yet please let me know :)
I'd love a copy of it to show my husband when he gets home. I missed it entirely!

How about a boycott of Borders with letters to their bosses as to why they are going to lose money? Maybe we can get these liberal rats fired?

That's nothing... I bought a new car recently and while waiting for the financing stuff, the finance guy started talking about movies and brought up "Fahrenheit 9-11", askign if I'd seen it.

I mentioned that I couldn't disagree more with Michael Moore's politics, which was my nice way of saying "Don't go there pal", but he persisted in telling me what a great movie it is and going into details about how Bush/Cheney started the war just to get Haliburton some juicy post-war contracts.

Sigh... I was sorely tempted to ask for another finance officer to work with us but I decided to show the left what "real" tolerance is...even when they get pushy with someone who disagrees.
