Best summary I've read to date.
I have another question. Didn't anyone EVER take a picture inside the offices of the TANG?
That would REALLY put this thing to rest to see an old clucker 1953 Typewriter sitting next to someone's desk. Specially if it was taken in say 1974-75.
I will use this to file my complaint with the FCC. The more complaints the better.
Whereas, upon inspection, based on my professional and personal experience, and/or that of others, one or more purported document(s) appears to exhibit evidence of kerning, a feature common to the use of modern word processing software and printing hardware, including Microsoft Word
Kerning is truned off by default in Word. The setting is found under Font, Character Spacing, Kerning. Dr. Newcomer says that the forged documents do not use Kerning, but achieve the effect by using a method known as "psudeo-kerning" to reduce rendering time in a WYSIWYG document. This is a small point because even psudeo-kerning was not available in the 1970's. I only mention it because it is the only error I could find in the whole complaint. Excellent Job! Kudos.
